not too much of an update, the newest valet is open, they can only have 1 or 2 cars up top because of limited space so they will put you under the casino or at the Hotel valet garage down the street

I didnt walk around much since from Valet, closest entrance is the S.Peter entrance by the steakhouse and right by the sportsbook...I did go near the rewards desk to swipe for a multiplier and was going to take a pic of that section as it was absolutely packed, but I ran into some friends and drunk, I forgot lol

Great to know that Caesars owns 100% of Emerils Brasserie and could make it 1:1 but why would they be nice to the people who keep them in business, you asked for 2:1

a little story from last night, pay attention when switching video poker games. thankfully I had a small winning session but it was some bullshit on what happened

im playing bartop 3 line double double bonus at .25 max bet. almost lose $100 and then hit 4 aces fairly quick. short time im up to $270, up and down. I decide to switch to 10 hand like I prefer, I select double double bonus 10 hand and hit max bet, for whatever reason, while on quarters, when I selected 10 hand, it defaulted to $1, so I bet $50 on that one spin. I didnt win big but I didnt lose it all either. but wasnt happy the machine did that. so pay attention

in the end I almost lost $500, stuck with it, played a hand absolutely wrong on purpose and it worked lol, cashed out $105 profit and rolled out

Going to weekend one of JazzFest - how much progress do you think they will have made in the casino by then? Any rumors?

Was there over MLK weekend for bachelor party and was disappointed at the closed sections and construction going on - and yes I do know these things take a while lol

the former tower that housed the ice bar is all but gone, that opening to the lower left exits out to the high limit area which is all walled off for demo

video poker was a kick to the balls last night lol

no real updates with the construction other than while its still a mess at the new hotel ground level, they have glass installed on the ground level, moving faster on the convention center entrance deconstruction than they done on the other two entrances

    casino was packed also

quick trip today, daylight when I got there (end the daylights savings crap)

outside and some more blocked off insdie, mainly between the already closed convention center are by the tunnel escalator and the food court area

smoking section between the hotel and canal street is coming along, finally looking like something

    Hotel getting more molding

started finishing sheetrock on an already painted construction wall, unsure here but im by the steakhouse looking at the back wall to masq

from here, the escalator to go to the tunnel

    slightly to the right

tunnel to get to the food hall, the side entrance has no construction

trying to get as much finished and open as possible

    update to the construction

the section in Green is the newest blocked off area

the section in orange is untouched harrahs untill they can get the convention center.poydras entrance open

the canal street smoking section, id say, probably a month if they work steady

Wonder if they'll remove the small oddly laid out bathrooms.

doubtful, they have refreshed all of them so far, only ones left to refresh are the ones behind the tunnel escalator, the ones next to the signature bar by the convention center/poydras entrance, the single person use ones in the old host office and the single person use ones that were between the palm room and asian games room...the easiest to disappear would be the host office and palm room bathrooms but High limit is going back in that space so im sure theyll stay, probably have a new host office there too

Do you happen to know the plan for the Steakhouse? Can’t imagine them leaving it as is after all the renovations. Maybe a Gordon Ramsay rebrand perhaps?

they 100% own the steakhouse and have renovated everything around it, but not the restaurant, maybe a last piece to remodel...I havent heard anything of a change other than some renderings (post above) showing an outdoor seating area...when they originally were going to remodel Harrahs before the rebrand to Caesars, they always mentioned a celebrity chef but apparently it was Emeril, lake charles got the Ramsey place

Hope not another cookie cutter GR.
They'd have to give him a cut and I think it's busy enough that they don't need his name.

Wouldn't mind them refreshing/switching up the menu a bit.

I know this is supposed to be completed before the Super Bowl, but I wonder if they are trying to hurry for it to be completed before Taylor Swift comes to town for a 3 night concert on October 24th. The hotel is showing Sold Out already for that weekend and the Four Seasons (which is one of the cheapest in the FS portfolio) is at $1,600/night. Surely it'll be a huge weekend, and I would think the hotel would want to capitalize.
