    1. never been there… anything about the hotel would appreciate: Resturants, do & donts, surrounding areas,
    2. I would like to take train to Philly (30th st station), do I goto Atlantic City station take train to philly?

    https://www.njtransit.com/train-to

is above website that shows train to philly, do I have it correct?
Also Atlantic City rail terminal same as Atlantic City station?
Any train info to philly would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! Especially those who lives in NJ jump right in!!

I did it last year and you are correct on all counts. Sadly I took the train down from Philly and got off on the stop before AC.

No help on the train, but for some restaurants, my recent trip report has a few

To summarize: Noodles of the World great casual noodle house
Izakaya was fantastic, especially the robata
Bobby Flay steak was good if you have comp $s, but wasn't as good as my first trip a few years ago

The new American Bar and Grille next to the poker room was a nice looking place, but we didn't end up eating there.

Restaurants on the weekend are busy. We got very lucky to grab some bar seats last minute at Izakaya, but otherwise make reservations or expect lines.

Also, if you want a beer, the bar in the center serves full pints, not small plastic cups. The sports book/bar place closed really early, like 11 or so (in my mind at least that's really early for a bar)

I've stayed at the Borgata and the Harrah's there. The Harrah's in AC is definitely classier than the one in Vegas. The Caesar's there is old but it seems like Tom Reeg was forced to spend some money on renovations to get the merger through. My general assessment of AC as someone whose primary market is now Vegas is that the odds are better but the minimums are also higher (this was before re-opening). I saw a lot more nickel and 25-cent slots. I love the drink ordering systems they have at Harrah's (don't think Borgata does it but I can't remember). I wish those were the types of tech upgrades that they would roll out nationwide instead of electronic gaming and more cutbacks everywhere.

At Borgata now on a junket, flew us directly into the AC Airport with a bus to the hotel, very smooth.
So far have been very impressed with the property.

FYI if you're Gold or higher the Amphora lounge is very nice and open 2-10pm, $12.50 comp per person. Drinks and a medium sized buffet.
Also found out the buffet is the same price or only 1/2 price at breakfast for higher tiers players.

Walked to Harrah’s yesterday, was ok, but didn't feel as nice, noticed a bunch of kiosks at the checkin area. Laurel Lounge is closed until Friday. Definitely see a lot more value from Mlife tier here than my CET tier.
Tons of kids over there, must have some event going on?
Harrah's has the drink ordering on the machine, but have had good drink service at Borgata so far without.

Only complaint is you are pretty isolated out this way. Hoping to get to the boardwalk today.

The buffet is $12.50 express comps per person for Gold or higher, no matter the meal.

The players breakfast was only $20 for 2 this morning, I was surprised. Must be since it's under $20/person and cheaper than lunch/dinner.
    It was $12.50 for lunch.

Breakfast at the Buffet has NEVER been $12.50 in express comps for Gold or higher, and continues to be $10, just as vegasvstr posted.

I’m gonna take a stab at this, here is a link to the weekday train schedule and a link to the weekend schedule. The train staton is right next to the AC convention center and the Sheraton. There are machines that are pretty easy to use to buy a ticket. The one way fare is $10.75 and the Senior fare is $4.90. If you don’t buy a ticket before boarding, you can buy a ticket on the train, but there is a $5 surcharge.

As for the Borgata stuff, I will defer to others as I’m a low sapphire and I don’t go there too often.

That’s interesting. I was there earlier this month and the man at the cash register had to constantly remind himself that it’s now $12.50, instead of $10. Maybe some are getting charged $10.

The AC train station is at the convention station, about 4 blocks inland from Caesars/Bally's. Every casino runs a free shuttle to the train station. When you arrive at the train station from Philadelphia the shuttles are lined up outside the train station for a free ride to all of the casinos. About 4 jitney busses with each one serving a few casinos. When you go from your casino to the train station you have to queue up for the shuttle at your casino about 20-25 minutes before the train is scheduled to be leaving the station. The jitney for the train station will be labeled 'Train Station'.

Wow!!! Thanks for many updates guys,,,,so let me understand this correctly …if I’m a gold card or above the Borgata hotel buffet (AKA Amphora lounge) is only $12.50 per person???? For breakfast, lunch and dinner?

@Drewm1972, Amphora Lounge and the buffet are two different things. Amphora is a lounge with a small buffet for Gold and above. It is $12.50 in comps per person, but it only opens at 2pm. The best thing about it is the bar, if you drink. They can pretty much make anything and have top shelf liquor.

The buffet is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They do close in between. If you’re Gold or higher, you get a discounted rate. I thought it was $12.50 in comps per person, but some have gotten in for $10.

Noir members can go to the Society Club, which is another lounge. I don’t know if they charge comp dollars.

Borgata is fine. Been going there for years, so I consider it my “local.” Unfortunately, I can’t seem to win there (or anywhere for that matter). I play slots and had a couple of brutal trips.

Are you staying in the main hotel, or Ocean club? We stayed Ocean Club last time: the room was good, but not much different from what I remember the main hotel rooms to be like. There's a walk through a small shop area, but it's really not far. The nice part about it was how quiet it was. I think twice there was someone else in the elevator when I got in. And I never heard a peep from the hallways, even being there on a busy weekend.

@Basil i have no idea … I’m taking free flight w room package offer… I believe it’s just a classic king bedroom .. but I’m probably not going to stay at borgata (it’s 4 nights 5 days trip) only couple of nights at the most…we are planning to go philly and visit our daughter. :)

my offer is like free flights, room and like $800 free slot play which should make wife happy. :)
