going to vegas in 42 days (yes I'm counting down). Got into craps last visit and have put in hours and hours reading and playing apps to prepare for this trip. I'll be staying at MGM Grand. Other then Casino Royale, what are the odds of finding a $5 table on the weekends near by on the trip?

Good luck with that, the Flamingo had $5 early in the day (until maybe 5pm or so but don't quote me on that) and then it switched to $10 when I was there last month. And you were not grandfathered in so once it switched you had to start playing $10.

the bus runs down tropicana (or short cab ride) to the Orleans OR go across the street and through Monte Carlo to catch the Bellagio bound tram which allows you to be in close proximity to the Bally's where the shuttle will deposit you @ Gold Coast for 5$ craps. And 3:2 BJ, AND good drink service.

And by the way, bring the Sigma Derby machine with you and friends will be made easily. Good luck!

Usually Margaritaville and Quad will have $5 craps.

Yeah, it probably is exhausting for some, but I do it all the time when staying at Orleans or GC to get to Sigma Town.....but then I go for 5 or 6 nights vs. the 3 night quickie so I've got time where others may not.....yeah, go to Hooter's; it's just down and across.

If it is a normal weekend or weekday then you will generally see $5 at Mirage in the early morning hours. Then about 10am they will bump it up to $10 or $15.

As others have mentioned Quad and Harrah's and Margaritaville will have them at times.

But on busy weekends they will not dip below that $10 mark. I recall SB weekend a few years ago the IP actually had $25 games. I was shocked.

    Have you played before?

All strip odds, with the exception of Casino Royale, are 3-4-5x. Royale is 20x.

Cosmo has great crews as do Mirage, Venetian/Palazzo and Aria.

Caesar's properties offer The Fire Bet while some of the other places do the All Tall, All Small and All as their feature bets.

Stratosphere has crapless craps, which was weird to me

Last time I was there Mirage's tables were fairly bouncy and Harrah's were like rocks

Caesars also pays "To one" and not "For one"...

Believe it or not, I've played $5 craps at Cosmo. Took max odds and got my ass handed to me.

Yeah I simply cannot imagine when they would have $5. Had to have been early.

I've played $5 craps at Hooters, Tropicana, and Excalibur at all hours. Hooters is a sure thing, Excalibur is usually, and Tropicana is anyone's best guess. All of those places are local to you at MGM.

Further up the strip, I'd check out Ballys, The Quad, Harrah's, and Casino Royale.

Riviera usually has a $5 game and Downtown is MOSTLY $5 games.

Thanks again, everyone. Nice to know there is a chance of $5 game within walking distance.

Yeah it was back in February and I think a Thursday morning. My coffee from Va Bene ended up being quite expensive. Haha

Bally's and Paris has $5 craps tables sometimes during the day. Later in the evening they raise it.
