Say I'm not staying at the hotel, but pay whatever the fee is to use the pool for the day. Do most pools on and off strip have lockers for your personal belongings and change of clothes?

I'd like to know about this as well.

If anyone has specific info about any pools it would be appreciated.

You might need to specify where you are planning to go as some places have lockers, but must most do not... and some have lockers but only if you rent a cabana

I can only answer as to Mandalay Bay. They have a safe in every Cabana and lockers available for rent. The lockers are near the Taco Shack and I think they cost $10 a day. You rent them at the Cabana desk.

thinking about trying the pool at Luxor, and maybe Red Rock. Cabanas are not worth the money to us, as this will be a quick dip in the pool under a hot sun, as opposed to hanging out all day.

Already planning to stop by the Downtown Grand pool, but we are also staying nearby, so that one doesn't matter as much.

    Luxor doesn't have lockers.

However an option you might look in to: for non guests to use the pool it is $20 per person... but you can probably get a hotel room, staying in the pyramid, for $40-50.

If you are staying Downtown you might look in to that as an option because it would only cost a little more than the pool admission for two, plus it would:
    - give you a place to store your stuff
    - give you a place to get changed
    - give you a place to have a shower afterwards
    - you can blast the a/c and cool down after a day in the sun
    - you can fill the sink full of ice and cheap drinks from the am/pm across the street so you have some cold drinks ready to go
    - if you need a rest you can lay down and relax and watch some TV or take a nap
