    Glad to see it.
Wonder if this will be certain hours or around the clock.
A few shady characters out near PH around 4-5 in the morning.

Yeah I always wondered why they would have so many Metro officers hanging out around the Harrah's to IP to Flamingo area and then the presence would lessen the further south you went.

You'd think for the revenue the strip generates there would be a cop on every corner and the casinos would be happy to foot the tax bill.

I can only comment on the Strip " choke point" comment about the overpasses. I most certainly feel this early mornings. Never a problem but there is no way off the overpasses so if you are blocked on both ends you have a problem. Glad to see an awareness of this.

We stayed at the Rio one year and we both are walkers so we headed out for the Strip, landing at the back of Caesars over the freeway. I told my fiancé to run across the offramp rather than cross over that six foot wide, four hundred foot long cage that is the pedestrian overpass on our way home. Sure enough on the way back, eight-ish there were multiple sleeping bags on each end of the overpass.

No idea if there has ever been a problem but that had all kinds of Mad Max Thunderdome written all over it. I don't think that ends in our favor.

So, are they gonna chase away the "Wadda, one dollah!" and the CD sales people?

I wonder when they will be covering the overpasses; hopefully, late into the evening. I never used to be concerned walking on the Strip late at night, but in the last few years have been nervous more than once on those overpasses, especially Cromwell to Ballys. I have seen several drug deals on that overpass.
