    Just wondering:

I get that it's about economics...I just don't understand them.

How do they make more money in an almost empty place with only slots...as opposed to when they had table games and were full?

I think they might be sitting on that piece of real estate for something in the future?

The stakes people are willing to play at tables at such a place are no longer profitable given beverage and personnel costs.

Maybe they want to put a shopping center, Mexican restaurant, chocolate store, rockabilly joint, or Kardashian nightclub there.

Greatest casino on the stripp. I have spent hours there. Crap table on the sidewalk, you could count cards and no one cared, slot machines would dispense coins at an alarming rate. $1 dogs .50 popcorn. Happy days...hey days. God how I miss that place.

I was told I couldn't continue playing BJ there. I wasn't counting cards, I was just plain lucky with my bets. They probably didn't see too many $25 players back then and I guess that alone caused them concern. So I left the table and went and sat at the bar. I had one beer and was told I wasn't going to be served anymore to drink, either. It's been about 30 years since I have been back there. I have walked by it but never gone in again. I'm sure they don't miss me but it was their mistake.

Short answer, slots are more profitable. Felt games take a lot of room and it takes a lot of cash to train and retain employees to operate the games.

True...but no one is there - at all - not even playing slots!

I really enjoyed carrying those buckets of $1 tokens back to the cage from the Top Dollar machines. but then all good things come to an end and they replaced every slot machine in there with much tighter machines.
