Well, I am less than 90 days away from being at Monte Carlo with friends (Oct 3rd - 7th). We figure it will be warm enough to hit the pool & are wondering what the scene is there. I just got back from Vegas in mid June, although I was staying at the Flamingo (awesome pool)! We decided to check out the pool at MC.

    What I noticed:

    1) 3 babies, all with diapers playing in the wave pool
    2) It was empty
    3) The energy was low
    4) We decided to play volleyball, but the other 4 people were too drunk to return a serve.

Was this just a fluke, or is MC's pool generally this slow?

Pretty much. The pool scene there is pretty slow, will pickup on the weekends but generally slow. At those dates all of the pool clubs are closed as well.

I fly in on a Friday, land at 2pm Vegas time, so I might hit the Flamingo pool, first. Thanks for confirming.

October is hit or miss at times with the weather.

I've seen 80 and I've seen 50's the first week of October while there.

its slow on weekdays and pick ups weekends but rember most younger people 20-30's go to dayclubs now, pool parties are where its at.

flamingo is one of the best non pool parties thats a regular pool hotel the rest you have to basicaly pay for like edc, wet,tao ,dras

I was there last year at the end of august, and they should be using a pressure washer to clean up the loungers that were black with suntan lotion. The wave pool was out of commission and empty and the largest pool had a sever leak so it was closed all three days.

I am not very optimistic about the pool, although the casino has aged it still want to my favorite places to play. If worse comes to worse, I will just take the monorail to the flamingo.
