I personally prefer Double Double Bonus 25 cent one hand or Triple Play 5 cent game.

Single line $1 DDB. Either 9/6 or 9/5, but it has not been kind to me lately, so last trip I "tried" to stick with 9/6 JOB.

The only game I really know how to play properly is JOB and it seems pretty much impossible to find a 9/6 25 cent machine anymore.

I really need to learn the strategy for the double bonus type games.

.25 9/6 at Main Street bartops. I think the Cal also has it, but it might only be at the dollar level. Not sure about Cal.

DDB is still my favorite but I’m beginning to like Boner Deluxe more and more…though I just know I’m going to hit Aces with a kicker soon and it is going to kill me.:rolleyes2:

I’m all over the place with denominations. Quarter, fifty, buck, two, five…even a couple very short forays into ten (and one extremely short attempt at a big score on 25 dollar). I like STP and the occasional Ultimate X. Though, with the latter, I keep sessions short and stakes low as I have no idea what I’m doing as far as strategy is concerned.

10/7 DB is my favorite. I like to mix in some deuces wild occasionally.

Ha, same here. Plus I tend to play bartop video poker, which means the drinks come quickly, and I'm not sure my brain has the capacity to play other games on autopilot like I do with JoB and blackjack (at the table, I don't play the video machines).

I do mostly Jacks Or Better or (single) Bonus. I'm kind of set in my ways on the 2:1 payoff on two pairs. I would rather have that than a super pay on certain four of a kinds.

I looks for Big Progressives. Single line Dollar mostly or sometimes quarters if really high.
Do most of my playing where I stay, so I've also become fond of
Super Triple play, Build a Wheel, QQ quarters, and UltX nickel & dime. 5/10play.

I love the low volitivity of 9/6 JOB. I'm there to have fun, maintain, drink, and drink. Occasionally I'll hop over to BP for my thrills.

Giggle Loop...... Oh Jeffrey! One of my favorite characters ever!!! :nworthy:

I've played VP before but have really been practicing quite a bit lately using the Wizard of Odds simulators. My favorite right now is probably Jacks or Better.

What I really enjoy doing at a casino is chilling at the bar playing video poker and enjoying some beverages in a laid back environment. Do most of the bar areas in Vegas have JoB on their machines (understood that payouts may not be optimal)? We will likely spend a good amount of time at the casinos between the Palazzo and Planet Hollywood.

You won’t have any problem. It will be an option on the overwhelming majority of bartop machines. Though, as you mentioned, bartop + strip = mostly lousy pay tables…but excellent drink service!

Regular VP game? Double Bonus, even though it is often unkind. But the crack cocaine of VP for me is any decent paying form of Super Times Pay. I get up and dance with the multiplier. It's ugly.

Standard poker is DB 10/7 when I can find it. Otherwise I'm looking for $.10 Ultimate X 3/5/10 play. Just cant get enough of that. Poker on steroids. I like Super times pay too for $.10 5 or 10 play.

TI has JoB 9/6 starting at 50 cents. Even has a double down option if that's your thing. It's the cheapest 9/6 I've found on the Strip so it's usually what I play.

Favorite video poker? Anything with 100%+ payback. 10/7 Double Bonus and FPDW being the usual suspects. Sometimes i'll sink to 9/6 JOB or lower to play bartops.

I am mostly a quarter VP player, but will occasionally bump it up to 50 cents, or even $1 if I've over-imbibed tasty libations.

The VP games I typically enjoy playing in Vegas are:

9/6 JoB at Boar's Head Bar at Main Street Station
9/6 DDB at King's Bar in 4 Queens (features a progressive on all 4OAK)
8/5 Bonus Poker at Vue Bar upstairs at The D (features a progressive on the Straight Flush and on 4OAK when it's 5s thru Ks)

I used to enjoy 9/6 Bonus Poker Deluxe at the Suncoast bars, but that pay table no longer exists at the bars there. I have read that it's available on the floor, but Sierra Nevada is at the ready on tap at the bar.
