Orleans Seafood Buffet

Being from Iowa the wife and I love seafood. I virtually will eat anything from the sea.
Now I know Vegas isn't not near an ocean but they do fly in seafood often and has much better quality than in Iowa. Plus it is a lot cheaper in a Casino than in Iowa.

A few weeks ago we traveled to the Orleans on a Friday night to get our fill. I think it was in the low 20's to eat there then. We were happy with what was offered. It wasn't steak house quality but close to it and lots of options we enjoy.

For my wife they had WARM snow crab legs. They were good and plenty of them but they are of course work. They were pre cracked of course. I went for the cold crab legs that were already split. Speeds up the poundage of crab consumed. So sweet no butter needed. The oyster Rockefeller's were good and in Iowa would cost over $1 each. They had raw oysters on half shell. They were on smaller side but hit the spot for me. They had cold mussels also but I did not try them. Shrimp scampi is a good way to eat warm shrimp without having to shell them, just skip the noodles.

My in laws ranted about the beef ribs. They are not such seafood fans. But that is what is nice here is you can have plenty of choices. Other items included that night were: crawfish, breaded fish, breaded shrimp, clam strips, pork ribs, cold seafood salads and the usual buffet items.

Nice selection of dessert if needed. Fruit selection is sparse though. All in all we were happy and probably will be back. I am always looking for suggestion for seafood. I like buffets for this so I can sample many different things. Warm crab legs is something the wife wants on the list for sure. Hope this helps the other seafood people out there. Remember I am from Iowa so my standards are not quite as high as you lucky people who live closer to the source.

 

Hate to tell you but the boyd places do NOT have seafood nights anymore. There contract ended early.
Now they have 7.77 dinner buffet most nights with a card swipe. I can't tell you how I know but I do know.
No more crab legs for Boyd places.

i dont know if the have the seafood thing or not but i can confirm the 7.77 deal as i get it all the time.

looks like friday is seafood prime rib nite there, i have a comp ill probaly check mit this week

 

They might still have prime rib/shrimp night but there contract for the crab legs ended and they chose not
to renew it. Actually the contract was to end at the end of June however there supplier ran out early.
For now I will just say a Orleans employee told me.

 

Like your in-laws, my husband is a big fan of their beef ribs. They are really tasty and are almost always on the buffet. The Orleans buffet is one of our favorites.

 

The Orleans website still has the prime rib & seafood buffet featured on Friday nights for $20.99.

 

Cool well I guess I may have been wrong. I have been duped by an employee many times before.
But the local paper has no ad for it anymore. I guess we will find out from someone this Friday.

friday has full seafood, oysters, clams, mussles, fish, ribs prime beast , crab hot cold you name they had it, i went last week, it was amazing and free so thats a plus

that the Rampart has restarted there Friday seafood buffet. 19.99 with
a players card
