I know this has been discussed before, however for my upcoming trip i plan on doing a few nice meals with my SO without overdoing the steakhouse thing. Probably le cirque or picasso, Eiffel Tower restaurant, and a few other places yet to be decided. But i want to have a great steakhouse meal, I hear great things about craftsteak at MGM, and i don't mind paying a little extra for a ribeye if it is top notch. Good side dishes help too. Of the underrated places, Strip house at PH is also garnering my consideration from reading reviews. I may go to Gordon Ramsey's place just for the sticky toffee pudding, but am unsure if the food is above and beyond other establishments.

In that area I've had Prime, Jean George's, STK, and Craftsteak. Jean George's wins for flavor. Craftsteak close second. They have a cinnamon monkey bread (I think that's what it is called) that is unreal.

Interesting.. You enjoyed Jean Georges in Aria more than (Jean Georges) Prime? We REALLY liked Prime so I've been wondering if we should stick with what we know will be an over the top A+ or give his self titled place a try.. Hmmm....

@thread starter - Prime inside Bellagio is top notch! The meal is outstanding. No question! As a bonus you also get a very high level of service and a very intimate view of the fountains.
I also like Craftsteak. Also a great meal. Can't go wrong. I think it's safe to say both locations are in the top 10 steakhouses in Vegas. Prime has to be in the top 3.

I would give Jean Georges a try. The view of the fountains at Bellagio is the only thing that is superior IMHO. I think Jean Georges is really underrated right now. Granted this opinion is based off of me dining at Prime once and JG 4 times. Prime undoubtedly was an excellent meal and experience, I just believe JG @ Aria is better. Not sure exactly why, I know they are both JG restaurants, perhaps just the timing.

I am pretty partial to SW Steakhouse's Chili-Rubbed Double Ribeye (for 2). At 42 oz, it's a pretty monstrous steak. The view in the restaurant is pretty good as well.

That double ribeye does indeed look monstrous. Joe's seafood sounds like a dinner plan on one of the days we are there for those who mentioned it.

Side note* nyny is a no go as a property. We swore not to visit there again after the amateur display of casino hospitality by their pit critters. Read my TR from march 2012. Nothing against gallaghers.

As a wildcard, i was considering Tender at luxor as well. Although i don't like the overall property much, the soups were fantastic and the filet i tried of my SO was pretty good too. Not sure of the rest of their meats. Is there even a comparison to Craftsteak? Or Is it merely a decent steakhouse that doesn't do much to separate itself from the pack?

That chile rubbed double ribeye was one of the most tender pieces of steak that I've ever had. It was brilliant.

Palmers or Tender for South Strip definitely and personally comparing both places flatirons last trip Tender wins, plus Tenders Bison Ribeye is one of my favorite steaks anywhere.

Palmer's steakhouse Cut of the Week was great atmosphere, a nice steak, and an incredible value. Probably will go back for the same thing.

Hope to try out Tender this trip as well.
