Do hotels/casinos ever try to lure away customers from one resort to another?

Although we enjoy other casinos, we always return to the Mirage for our stays. The Mirage continues to give us the best room offers. Will we just have to buck-up and pay the tier rate to stay somewhere else?

Not that we want to but, I find it funny that it would cost us more to stay at the Excalibur than the Mirage.

Absolutely, we usually get 2 free nights from Mirage. We always spread our play around,(I know not the way to get comped on a regular basis) and last year we got 3 free night offer from MGM (although we had never stayed there). This year 2 weeknights from Mirage (offer went down), 3 nights MGM (offer stayed the same)and 2 free nights, FP, and limo r/t from airport from NYNY, ( new offer, never stayed there either). Bye bye Mirage. My wife really liked MGM and with a better offer including the weekend, couldn't pass it up. It's almost like, since they are all MGM/Mirage resorts, they cannibalize each other. By the way we have always played at all these casinos since our first trip 11 years ago and this seems to be more competitive than in years past.

This question seems a little obvious, so maybe I am missing the subtext. The answer is yes. You can sometimes get decent teaser offers. And you will get offers based on your play.

If you play at Mirage, you should get corporate offers from other MGM properties already. Also, if you want to generate some new offers, play at some different properties on your next trip. From Mirage, TI is next door, Wynn and Venetian and Harrahs are all across the street (more or less), or you could catch a bus downtown and play some there.

Post information about what you play and at what level/denomination and plenty of folks on this Board will offer advice about which resorts are likely to give you offers based on your level of play

Maybe we are just too small for other offers. Can we get smaller than a minnow, maybe gold fish? :haha::haha: We visit Vegas 2 - 3 times per year for the past several years. We always spread our play out at several M Life properties and some Total Rewards with heaviest play at Mirage because we are staying there. We also charge our meals and shopping to our room. Mirage seems to want to take care of us with comped rooms and f/p. Others don't seem to see us.
