The Spacemen moved up the human food chain

How much more can they learn from these rednecks they grab in their old pickups on lonely country roads. Now they have 200 specimens of humanity that are much smarter than Eugene from Parump.

The pilot suicide theory makes sense. He wanted to hide the plane so show how inept the Malaysian government is (he was a supporter of the opposition party). From all reports, he was a proud man and didn't want people to think the plane got the best of him and crashed due to mechanical failure. So he took deliberate actions to shut off all communications, ascend to 45,000 ft, depressurize the plan, killing everyone on board (which is why there are no phone calls, text messages, etc from anyone on board) and then proceeded to fly for several more hours crashing into the ocean hoping the wreckage would never be found.

I just can't see mechanical failure being the reason as the current evidence showed the plane flied for almost 7 hours after contact was lost.

It could if their was a fire, which could explain the loss of communications, turning west towards a nearby airfield, and even the ascent (which is not a confirmed fact). I like this scenario posted by a pilot where there was a fire, the plane turned to land at Pulau Langkawi but the pilots were overcome by smoke and the plane continued flying until it ran out of fuel:

Every theory is largely guesswork right now but I think some of the stuff being thrown out there by things like cable news are especially premature.

I believe we have a winner. Very logical and coming from an experienced pilot.

Certainly a good theory as well.

My only question if there was a fire, wouldn't the pilot have radioed back about it?

Yeah that's a big question (among a hundred others!). According to that pilot it makes sense because the priority would be to deal with the fire and pull out electrical buses which could either disable communications or the comms were disabled from the fire. I've seen the talking heads on TV repeatedly ask pilots why its even possible to shut off things like the transponder and they all say the same thing, that they need to be able to shut them off in case of electrical fires spreading through those systems.

But frankly, who knows? I only like this theory because it fits the few facts we know without jumping to wild speculation, it sort of satisfies Occam's Razor. But at the end of the day it could be something wild.

Its just painful hearing the talking heads on TV trying to trump up drama where there isn't any. I love how they kept bringing up the fact that the pilot supported the opposition party with such nefarious undertones. Pretty much all of us democracy-loving Americans would support the opposition party in Malaysia as well if we lived there. As usual, the only worthwhile reporting on this has been coming from some print journalists.

    Two possible theories.
    1 - UFOs
2 - It was planned. They are heading to Vegas and don't want their significant other to find out.

Is there a blue police box, next to it? If so, no problems.

Debris found by Austrailian satellite 2000 nautical miles southwest of Austrailia.

    The Ozzies have satellites?

Good work by the Australians, they say Australia has extremely advanced maritime operations. If this is debris from the plane they are saying it flew until it ran out of fuel and crashed. That would put it down in those waters based on the fuel levels of the plane.

but why didnt anyone call on their cell phones to report anything at all? Something's off here if even the stewardesses did not call for help when they saw plane was turning to fly the other way.

No calls = all aboard were dead. Possibly due to no oxygen, air pressure, or whatever.

Simple answer to that is that they were out of service range.

True, but I'd be surprised if none of the passengers had a sat phone.

Plus a lot were asleep and probably had absolutely no clue what was going on. Could have had a Payne Stewart plane situation where everyone was out cold (or dead) already
