    Dear VMB Friends---

On my last trip I reached my 40th Vegas trip since April of 2008. This period represents the renaissance of Vegas for me.

This past 5 years has contained the highest concentration of trips with the craziest shit going on. It has been a pleasure for me to report those happenings initially with post-trip reports, and eventually via the LIVE trip report.

During that time I have somewhat faithfully (hey at least better than Gaggles) made an effort to report in detail with pictures on a timely basis, hopefully with at least a little bit of flair.

At this point I've kind of accomplished everything I have ever wanted to in Vegas. I honestly don't really have much more original stuff to say. The past three years have been a great martingale-style run for me. Especially 2013 where I was able to book numerous small wins totaling somewhere near 5-figures across 20 nights in Vegas and a few runs to the local Rivers Casino.

I also reached my goal of completely eliminating comp motivated play as a leak in my game. I'm not saying I didn't gamble stupid 95% of the time, but hey at least it wasn't for comps as they say!

I've added a ton of good friends from the board along the way.

The truth is, I just don't have that excitement when landing in Vegas these days. I've still been having a good time, but I wouldn't really say its noteworthy from a readers perspective. I've gotten a lot more conservative and boring in my play.

I'll still be making the pilgrammage for Gaggles Bday trip in late May each year and will piggyback a couple post-trip updates on his inevitably neglected trip report.

Thanks to everyone for reading and thanks for the support on this 5-year mission to explore strange new casinos, to seek out new hookers and carny bets, to boldly go where no degenerate has gone before!

We've all enjoyed the detail oriented and real time reports you've provided. I'm sure our paths will cross again. :drunk:

You're going to do what??! You will do no such thing. But seriously it has been a ride. I may not always comment but I enjoy every ride. I even go back to your original reports before the five star life to read and enjoy. You write highly entertaining and epic reports. The wit and flair is an amazing talent. I ask that you to get right back on that horse and ride again.

BeeJay, your reports will be missed. They were always entertaining and did what I like...made me want to jump on a plane andf head to Vegas. I too stopped being a Vegas crazy degenerate in 2008. It came back last year and the fun has picked up since. Hopefully that will return for you too.

    Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeejjjjjjjjjjjjjjjaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! Say it ain't so!!

Okay, I get it. Writing TR's, especially live ones, can be a royal PITA. I've tried to do a couple of live ones, but always end up wishing I hadn't for a variety of reasons (ie, one former board member kind of wants to kill me, so I'm always wary of posting where I am and what I'm doing.).

I hope you'll still share your wonderful stories with us when you get back. Your reports are epic and you are right up there with Hurricane Mikey with "Best TR EVER!" awards.

I know the turkeys can get you down sometimes, but I've got your back and I will miss hearing your stories. Hopefully our paths will cross in Vegas and I can buy you and your buddies a round and hear your crazy and totally inappropriate hooker stories. I'll even buy you one of those girly flavored vodkas you like so much. I'll even pay extra so you can get an umbrella in your drink. :wink2:

I understand where Beejay is coming from . I have not posted my last three trips including one for New Years Eve. They are a lot of work you guys! They are even more work when you have a lot of trips to get in over a year. I have cut back a little but will not stop.

Macker, Big Sack, and I along with a Special Guest are going on less than three weeks. We shall have a report up and running for you. Atleast I know Macker will.

And rest assured for Gaggles Annual 30th Bday bash in May, there will be a TR!

Hmmm....I'm not buying it unless there are covert activities going on.
This smells of the lament last year, when BeeeJay said he was done going to Las Vegas.

This site is like heroin for some people, once you been off for a while and get close to your trip it's hard not to post. Not to say Beeejay won't get that fix from other places like Facebook or Twitter which have become the new social media drug of choice.

Regardless, BeeeJay we wish you well, now more importantly who will pickup the gauntlet.

Sad to read this but can't say I don't blame you. Reading your epic reports makes me want to go to LV right after finishing. I can see where Gaggles says it is are hard work to do. You will be missed here.

Hey when in late May are you & Gaggles coming? If you're there when I'm there, I may have to slap some sense back in you! LOL. Best of luck Beejay!

Man Beej, we love living precariously through your TRs because most of us will never do Vegas like you do! Please let us know little bits and pieces if you can...I'm not sure we can survive without knowing!

Pretty sure your degeneracy will not end, we just won't be privy to it. Hopefully you will still be around on the boards now and again.

I really appreciate all the kind words guys!

I'm not quitting from the board or Vegas or anything like that, just no more trip reports.

How many different ways can I write about losing money, getting blackout drunk, hitting quads on $5 Boner Deluxe, nailing a $100 Hard 8, and popping a #17 while chasing on roulette before it becomes passe?

One buddy really brought this to my mind last trip when he said "do you ever lose?". The answer is of course I do, but the hallmark of my "Double Top-Secret Modified Adjusted Stableford Martingale Chasing System" is you get a lot of these $1,000-$5,000 winning trips and then crash and burn with a $25,000 loss.

I figure I'm way overdue for that loss. So why not change things up before rather than after?

My goal in Vegas is to start doing more shit that would get me arrested, fired, divorced, or otherwise disowned if I wrote about it on here! :wink2:

I'm going to continue to do the May 29-July 2 trip for Gaggles bday every year, but replace the other trips with stuff like Mexico, Disney w/kids, Cruises, etc. I've gradually just become less and less interested in gambling over the past couple years. No real reason for it. Maybe part of it is realizing just how damn lucky i've been to win so much these past 5 years. When that variance snaps back around I want it to manifest itself as my getting slapped on a nude beach in St. Martin rather than blowing $25K at The Quad.
