First some background info. We have made an annual trip to Las Vegas for the past six years (and two trips one year) and we are strictly slots players. We feel like we're most comfortable either downtown or someplace like the Orleans/Sam's Town and have no complaints with the way we've been treated by Boyd. Although we have visited the strip to "see the sights" and enjoy some pretty nice perks courtesy of myVegas we have no burning desire to stay or gamble there. In March of last year we also took a trip to Tunica (stayed at Sam's Town) and ended up playing for a couple of hours at Harrah's. Since we had never gotten a player's card for CET before this I believe that the amount of coin-in we had in that short visit was $500 for DH and $375 for me. I'm presuming this is right based on the fact that he has 100 rcs and I am showing 75. My understanding is that it requires $5 coin-in to earn one reward credit. We are both showing three free night S-TH in Tunica which I thought was extremely generous but have no intention of ever going back there. Due to an uncertain job situation we are planning our first-ever trip to AC next month (we can drive there - no need to commit to plane fare) and will be staying and playing at Showboat since there are no Boyd casinos there. Our normal play regularly gets us two or three free nights each at Orleans/Sam's Town/the D, along with a small amount of free play and food credit. If we are able to take our normal September trip to Las Vegas I would really like to see George Wallace, and was thinking it might be nice to be able to get a comp room at Flamingo for the night we go. Unless something drastic were to happen it would probably be the only time we ever stay on the strip. So, my two questions are - #1 Will this amount of play in AC generate a comp offer for Las Vegas? And #2 If rcs expire after six months of no activity why are we still showing that whopping $1.75 in comps? We are going to gamble at our normal (low-roller) level while in AC regardless - just wondering what if anything we might expect to see in the future. Appreciate any insight anyone can give.
When you go to AC play only one account. Get duplicates and each play the same card. For a day or 2 of play in AC of what you described you should be able to get a mid week room in LV, if not at the Flamingo, at least at the Quad which is right next door and convenient for a show in Flamingo. When you are ready to book that LV room, check the rate calendar and not your offers, and if you don't get what you want, try again a day or two later, the offers always seem to change.
In AC I'd say nope... Wife and i went in October and stayed at Harrahs (nice place!) and put in some decent action (I'd say right about $3000 coin-in) and got SQUAT for anywhere. (Of course, that wasn't the objective, but hey we'll take any comps we can get!) If you go to AC I'd recommend staying at Harrah's. We only paid like $15 a night (we got the chepeast room, but with a friendly smile they put us in better rooms; former suites)
I can't comment specifically on AC, I can only give my experiences around the country at other CET properties. My Las Vegas play seemed to affect my other casinos discounts very little. My Shreveport play never affected my Biloxi rates. AC could certainly be different, it just wouldn't match what I've seen so far around the country. I would still play only on 1 card and see if they can take something off the bill at the end. Don't get linked cards, just use one of yours. If you find yourself heading there more often, it may be wise to get separate cards. You may get more things like $10 freeplay on each card.
You might get ROOMs in Vegas. Check rate calendar, not the offers. And, please help us help YOU by using paragraphs and shorter postings and get to the question.
That sounds like a very small amount of play, but you may well see comped rooms or very low prices via the rate calendar for Quad/Harrahs/Flamingo, particularly midweek.
Thanks for the suggestion to use only one card. We can certainly do that if it might help get a better offer. I've seen the advice before about checking the rate calendar instead of the offers but don't quite understand why they would show different results. Anyone have any idea about the reward credits question? As far as your request nostresshere to use paragraphs and shorter postings, I quite clearly did use paragraphs. I felt it would be helpful to give some details about our normal level of play along with what offers we received on past play. Sorry if it was too much info for you to process. And dankyone - yes that was a small amount of play, but remember we were only there for a couple of hours. We will be in AC for three days and will probably spend around 6-8 hours each day gambling if the games cooperate.
As to why rate calendar is different than offers? Because the rate calendar can cover every single night of the month at every single hotel using your ADT and their current drive to comp or not comp rooms. Offers have to be assigned. And, some people respond better to specific offers. As to the RC question, I am not sure what the question is.

A better way to tell is to look at how many TIER credits you received. $5 coin in gives you 1 Tier Credit 1 Reward Credit You can also get bonus reward credits and only CET knows how that works. You get bonus credits the longer you play on machines. So if you only played 1 machine, you would get more than that 1 per $5.
