I have read that the Steak House at Circus Circus is very good but wanted to get your opinions. Is it as good as they say or what other steak house do you prefer. Someplace that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and preferably on the Strip.

When I want a good steak I don't like to overpay. That's why I avoid the strip. I used to go to Sahara for steaks way back when lol.

I only go to one steakhouse outside of Fremont and its circus circus. I would highly recommend it. Price isn't too bad either. They consistently get high reviews from yelp(4/5), urban spoon(92%/100) and trip advisor(4.5/5).

    I would go for it!

A lot of people forget that before the massive growth of MGM Mirage of the last 20 years, Circus Circus was their flagship property. I think that's why certain things at CC don't get messed with.

Ate there last year. Nice atmosphere great prices!

I know...It's in Circus Circus, right?

Definitely not what I woudl expect in that casino but a great hidden gem! If I was going for steak again I would go there!

Yes, this is a VERY good cut. What I love most is that you don't have to pay for "the room". Meaning, there's just plain, relatively unadorned walls and the like. At many other steakhouses on the Strip (no pun intended), I feel like I'm paying for a bunch of pictures of celebrity jack asses or whatever, or for the name of some fancy chef. At Circus Circus, you get a great cut at a very fair price. Granted, you have to haul way up the street to get it from wherever you're staying, but I think I just Duece bussed it, ate at Circus Circus, and then re-Deuced it up to Olympic Gardens.

Value is relative. Expect to pay about $50 for a good steak at the Steakhouse - but that comes with the sides and a salad. Add two or three drinks and you're looking at $70 per person.

Well thats great value considering what you are getting. I cant see a steakhouse serving a prime cut of the same quality meat as CC being much cheaper then that.

No doubt about it, CC Steakhouse is one of my favorites!!! Only reason I'll go in that property... and well worth it!

Circus Circus Steakhouse is as good as you hear. They've been around 40 years and they know what they're doing. Very old school. Service, food and dessert was top notch when my wife and I went last year for the first time. Prices are high but as stated above, the value is there for what you're getting.

Thank you for all the responses, sounds like that is the steak house to go to, so we will be there, thanks again.

Actually, I sure have... it's just right around the corner from Circus Circus by the freeway. I doubt anything has changed inside since you've been there. Some say it's dated and tired, but I just feel like it's full of history. The food is still GREAT! It's been over a year since my last visit... I have a client who loves the place, perhaps it's time for us to stop by again!:ssst:

There is a happy hour for the first hour or 2 after opening for dinner.

2 of us had a hard time getting our bill to $150 as that was the amount we had to spend on a My Vegas reward.

Yeh - as noted, Golden Steer is a classic. Well worth the $100 per person you'll spend.

We go to the CC Steakhouse every year when we get to Vegas - reminds us of "old Las Vegas". We are always amazed that such a good steakhouse is in CC.....

I also think it is a very good value and it has a fun old-school atmosphere. One thing I really like is watching the mesquite fire pit.

Can you charge meals at this steakhouse to a room at another MGM property? I'm unsure since it has a different players club if its treated separate from the other properties.
