Can you order a bottled beer (Coors, Bud etc.)when the cocktail lady comes around and does it cost? Thanks.
Not to be disrespectful, but your profile shows you joined VMB in Jan. 2009 and made 12 trips to Vegas, how can you not know this? Anyway, the answer is YES and it only costs the usual tip.
My sister in law and brother in law are first time visitors and will be with us. She asked me if you can get bottled beer or just in a cup when at the machines. I don't drink beer. Never ordered it or paid any attention to it. I order cc/diet or once in a while a daiquiri but that's it. I knew where to get the answer that's why I asked. Thanks for the answer.
Be advised that there are exceptions to almost everything. At some casinos, beer that's free to players at floor machines or at the tables may not always include every selection that's available at the bars. Likewise, some beers that are served in tall glasses to bar top players may only be served elsewhere in the typical small glasses. One of my favorite places, Main Street Station, serves their microbrews to players in large plastic cups, though bottled beer is also available. (Personally, I think that ordering "generic" bottled beer in a brewpub should be illegal, but people do it! ) It's always good to ask your server if there's any doubt. Your relatives are in for a treat!
I hate those plastic glasses, but at the Boars Head bar it is served in a nice 16oz Beer Glass which is made of glass not plastic.
This is a little vague if you are talking about being on the casino floor or from a waitress at a bar or what... just to be clear: you can order complimentary drinks from the cocktail waitress while gambling. Sure can. That's what I usually drink when playing. They can't water it down, over-do the ice, or skimp on the portion! Every place has Bud Light and that's what I usually drink when playing.
Perhaps I just got lucky, but the micro-brews I've ordered while playing blackjack at MSS were actually in a pint glass. (oh, and call me guilty on the bottled-domestic thing...I've ordered a Miller Lite or two while paying there...just wasn't in the mood for the heavier beer.)
It varies casino by casino. Some lower end ones sometimes only have draft. Most MGM props have a wide variety of bottles
