Just moved to craps. Killed on roulette. Down 5k. Couldn't hit a 30. Pit crew played a joke on me and put 7 30s up on table next to me. I bugged out.

 

Quick update. Went downstairs to put a CFB bet down and grab a quick breakfast. Pulled a Max. Got the bet down but got pulled into a BJ table. Lost a few hundred ok multiple hundreds betting greens. How is that possible? I will tell you splitting aces vs dealer 5 and drawing 4s while she ends up with a 4 under and a face card. Among other losses where I had the advantage

Guess that means the cards will turn tonight when I chase and play bigger

 

I love that joke but not so much if it was played on me. I am going to PM you my text number so we can meet up tonight and take Cosmo down. I have an early dinner setup but Free after that

Day Two, First Update:

Was exhausted last night (had been up since 5am central time) so that helped me sleep through the noise of Marque below my room. Grabbed some fruit for breakfast and had a few minutes to kill before my spa appointment, so decided to play my $1000 in promo chips.

Absolutely brutal! Sat down at a BJ table and played a $100 a hand. After nine hands, I only had one promo chip and $200 left sitting in front of me. Next hand is a split and then a double down. you know what happened. I lost both hands. Somehow I turned a thousand bucks in promo chips into nothing.

After that I was definitely ready to relax in the spa. For its size, I think the Cosmo spa is very good. Its tiny, like most things in this resort, but the amenities are pretty good. Got an 8- minute hot stone massage and was feeling better. Grabbed a quick lunch poolside at Overlook Grill (food was nothing special, pretty basic) and decided to give BJ another whirl.

Went down to the talon room and convinced myself that the promo chip karma was all the bad karma I could have for a while. Shockingly, I was right. Played a little over half the shoe and was up 8k. Decided to pocket those winnings and then walked down to the high limit. Sat at a bac table and luckily found a dealer that fits my style (deals fast!). Another half shoe and another 4k back in my pocket.

So I'm feeling a little better now. I have recovered almost half my losses from yesterday. If I can end the trip down only four figures rather than five, I will consider it a victory! Going to watch the end of the Vandy/UGA game, which portends to be my first sportsbook win of the trip. Then will hit the casino again. more later ....

Yeah, doing that to someone in a sizable hole isn't very cool unless you know that they can get a good laugh at their own expense. And I guess if places like this bother to eff with the number board when it's not in use, I guess you can't always trust the old number list either.

Played some more at Rio with nothing to report. My best win so far was only betting 100 on Ohio st. -18 instead of more. Pretty sad that I am counting the extra money I was going to bet and lose as a win

Heading over to Aria for dinner then starting the night off at stage and book Bar at cosmo at 8pm.

Ouch. That is how I felt last night. Be confident, it will turn back in your favor. Resting now but will try and keep track of time and make it down there around 8

 

Day two, the comeback is on:

Went back down to the casino after the UGA/Vandy game and the comeback has continued! Thanks to one hot BJ shoe, one hot back shoe, and some timely hit and runs, my losses have been pared to the 4k range. Hell, I even won some money at craps (hit four points) which had been a consistent loser for me so far on this trip.

Taking a break now. Listening to some mu8sic in the room and may watch a little football. My remaining fball bets for the day are on the bama and FSU games. So I will watch some of those. Also, I decided not to hedge my Tigers ALCS bet. The numbers just aren't good enough. Besides, applying gamblers logic, I feel like I am due on one of those future bets.

Was thinking of hitting up Secret Pizza for dinner later, but my stomach is hurting for no good reason. Any alternative suggestions would be appreciated.
