Ok, I know everyone asks this but would like to know your recommendation for a good steakhouse from recent experiences. Also, needs to have some seafood for our friend who is vegetarian. Doesn't have to be the most expensive place but $150 a couple is fine with some wine.

    How about on the strip?
    Best of Caesars properties?
    Downtown?
Anyone been to VooDoo in Rio? Possible show Penn and Teller so would be nice to be right there already.

We may stay on the strip and see a show if we can score some free tix. If not, we are going to go downtown. This would be a Sunday night.

    Thanks for your help!!

I've been to five CET steakhouses, here's how I would rank them:

    1) Striphouse @ PH
    2) Ramsay Steak @ Paris
    3) The Range @ Harrah's (closed, now there's a Ruth's Chris there)
    4) Bally's Steakhouse (closing in the next couple months, will reopen as BLT Steak in early 2014)
    5) Voodoo Steak @ Rio

    The Steakhouse in Circus Circus
    Gallaghers in NYNY
Smith and Wollensky on the strip
I really like Striphouse @ PH too

My favorite is by far The Old Homestead at Caesars.

Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris just didn't do it for me (especially for the price).

No suggestions here except to make sure wherever you choose has VEGETARIAN options. Seafood is not a vegetarian option. :)

I've eaten at many steakhouses in Vegas and the best I've had was N9ne at the Palms (just this past weekend). It was outstanding.

at that price you're not just looking for not the most expensive place, but the cheapest place. the top notch places are going to be well above that with wine.

without drinks 200 will cover it plus tip

my sugestions if you want the best is nines at the palms

    then old home stead
    strip house

there quite a few but you will have to raise your budget

Ok, so I saw the Craftsteak vs Prime vs SW thread and now we have decided to do SW while we are there. Just made a reservation for the four of us. So excited and can't wait. We leave a week from Saturday. It's been three long years. Woot!!

I'm 100% behind STRIPSteak. Easily my favorite. Consistently excellent, top to bottom, steaks and everything else. Great service. Nice space. Fantastic people-watching, especially when there are events at the Mandalay arena ... fight nights, in particular!

They have a great prix fix at Stripsteak it's $58 I enjoyed it. But ordering off the menu with alcohol it would be well over $200 for 2 people.

    http://michaelmina.net/restaurants/menus/stripsteak-lv/May%202013%20SSLV%20Prix%20Fixe%20$58%20for%20web.pdf

When we went they had an upgrade for $10 to a better steak, the side was Mac & Cheese.

For a full price place. I recommend Tender at Luxor. 2 of us, 2 entrees (steak and lobster), 2 sides, and 2 salads, it came to $150 before tip.. no alcohol though, but I thought it was a really nice place, great service, and a really good value.

I'm a big fan of SW. Hope you guys enjoy it! Try some oysters while you ponder the menu...best I've had in Vegas.
