We're coming in around midnight on Dec. 24th. Staying till Jan. 03 at Orleans, have rental. We have friends in Henderson, and will be going to their house a couple of times. Looking for tacky holiday decorations or events as only Vegas can offer. Suggestions???

Venetian/Palazzo always offers up some nice holiday themed decor/ entertainment.

The Bellagio and Venetian/Palazzo have the best setups for the holidays. All decked out. This was in Dec 2012 the week before Christmas. The Wynn/Encore was more subdued and most of the decorations were at the buffet. Actually the Wynn Buffet was more focused on the holidays than the casino itself. The workers at the buffet were randomly handing out Wynn gifts to patrons.

    Hey Now!!!!

Nice pics! We always hit the Conservatory every trip. Looking forward to the Xmas theme. I was reading about the Venetian's decorations, looks sweet. Speaking of sweet, Ethel M's Chocolate is supposed to have a killer display in the gardens at their factory in Henderson too.
    Thanks for the info!

The conservatory, Venetian/Palazzo and Ethel M's... you pretty much have it covered.

A lot of people assume that the hotels and casinos go all out and decorate themselves up for Christmas but in reality most of them don't do very much.

At most casinos you will find a Christmas tree or two in the lobby, nothing too special mostly like what you'd expect from a shopping mall display, and then a little bit of garland around the hotel parts of the property (IE: if they have a hallway leading to some elevators they might put some garland and a poinsettia plant on a table).

The lobby tree for MGM Grand looks nice though, they put it in the middle of that big garden ring they have in the center of the lobby, and Monte Carlo usually brings out some giant oversized Christmas ornaments for their lobby and that fountain display out front of Aria (where the cars pull up) they have that go through a routine where sometimes it looks like a Christmas tree.
