Speaking for myself......Nick Cage drinking a beer in the pool underwater? How about Elisabeth Shue drinking Tequila out of the bottle and spilling it all over herself and Cage proving there shall be no wasted alcohol?

Seriously, both actors play a great part, a love story, but he loves the bottle more than the woman, she can't save Cage from himself and his reckless behavior that leads to his demise. Vegas is a vehicle that makes this film, if set in another city, it wouldn't work as well. Cage loses his wife and child, is it due to his drinking? It's never made clear. He sells everything and drives to Vegas, not to start a new life, but to end his. The writer of this story committed suicide two weeks after he sold the rights. Heavy, but real life is not the Hangover I,II, III either.

Exactly. Great acting and an excellent production. But, it leaves me down.
