I always wanted to watch an Elvis impersonator conduct a ceremony on some random couple. Is this allowed, or do you have to know the bride and/ or groom to be in attendance?

We got married by an Elvis impersonator. It was on the internet for a while. But we were married in 2002. I don't think it's there anymore.

We were married at the "Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel". Check their website. They have weddings on the internet.

Mike, I saw a lot of weddings when researching my wedding guide. Now, it's not exactly a standard practice with couples being in the public fishbowl -- though many do choose that by default given some locations they choose -- and I don't know of any chapel operators who schedule "viewings," but if you happened to be at a chapel all you need to do is ask. That's what I did and I had no rejections from couples. Well I did have some rejections from chapel owners when I revisited under the guise of being a journalist doing a book rather than a prospective groom, but that's another story.

Ken, have you been posing as a journalist?

We have attended a couple of vow renewals in a Vegas wedding chapel. As long as the couple says yes, you can pose as King Kong and the chapel owners won't care.
