Ok so my favorite machines in the world are the old school Wheel of Fortune $5 slots that have $5000 (and $2500, $2000 etc) on the wheel. I enjoy playing these at many casinos in Illinois and get a lot of hand pays. They are pretty much the only machines I'm willing to play anymore.

So... I went to Vegas two weeks ago thinking I would find BANKS of these machines!!!

Unfortunately after going to about 10 casinos on the strip I found none of them. Just the new school $5 machines, and only a few of them. Over 4 days I gambled away 4x as much as I usually do, and didn't get a single hit over $600. Usually on the old ones I'd have had 10 hand pays with that much gambling. Literally. Came back to Illinois and hit $5k and $2k in the first hour back on them lol.

Anyways - Does anyone know what casinos in Vegas still have these old school WoF machines? Please let me know, or if you know of any other casinos that do - so hopefully I can actually enjoy gambling on my trip.

    Thanks,
    Aaron

Saw them downtown last time I was there, it was October last year. Can't remember if I saw them at the Golden Nugget or The D. I remember those machines because the wheel up top was all glittery and the amounts weren't filled in with credits (like my 25 cent version lol), but were actual dollars won.

The $5000 spot caught my eye, until I looked down and saw these were $5 WOF. :faint:

There's a $5 WoF in Paris HL slots. I don't play it, but it seems fairly friendly from what I have seen

Just checked the slots locator: Almost every CET casino on the strip has $5 WOF, but maybe these all aren't the old school ones you are trying to find.

Also, the Boyd Properties downtown show a very good chance that these are what you seek. They are at MSS and The Cal.

Planet Hollywood, Golden Nugget and Paris don't have them. Went to all and specifically asked unfortunately. I'll check out MSS and Cal. Anyone else have any for sures?
    Thanks,

I play $5 Wof in Vegas a bit. I don't think you will find what your looking for, because I would think they are all tied into the Nevada Wide area progressive. Almost all are 2 credit, with 1195 bucks as the highest wheel win. I have seen a couple $5 machines that are 5 line, 5 credit, so $25 a push. these have wheel Values up to $10000, but do not bonus as often.

Someone on another forum was in the know, and had a pars sheet for these years ago.

My locals however, have the machine you are looking for. 3 credit, non -progressive, top wheel award is 5000. I think these ones suck, but it could be they are tightened way up here. Much prefer the 2 credit Vegas Versions.

The $5 WOF at the Cal and MSS has $1195 as the largest dollar amount on the wheel.

I know Cosmo, Harrah's, The Quad, Paris and Caesar's Palace have the WOF $5 but only 1-2 machines, not a "bank" of them. I was just there and had some pretty good wins at Cosmo and CP.
