I concur that it should get it's own forum, as long as any post that ever talks about resort fees gets moved there.

We might as well have a discussion about the sun coming up in the east tomorrow. It's just a fact of life.

Is it actually possible that there's anything to say that hasn't already been said... several times?

Yeah, thats what I would be thinking... a forum for resort fees would basically have three threads in:

The first would be a sticky listing what places have resort fees and how much they are.

The second would be people with the same whines about resort fees.

The third would be a thread for the people who are indifferent to them.

In the end it'll all come down to:

Whether you like resort fees, hate them or don't care the choice is yours if you stay at a place that charges them or not.

Whining and complaining about them isn't going to get rid of them.

Resort fees didn't start in Las Vegas and they aren't going to end there either.

Well, if there's a dedicated resort fee forum, shouldn't it have a separate paypal link and separate ad revenue?

That way people wouldn't have to pay for messageboard amenities that they weren't using .....

    *ducks*

You are on the money there, sir.

Honestly tho, it will die down naturally anyway.

The CET thing was news and was just implemented. I'm one of those folk that simply skip threads I have no interest in. I mean right now there's a whole 8 threads started about RFs this year.

Not really annoying....if you don't venture in.

I appreciate the feedback from everyone. My PM and email is always open for these kinds of suggestions.

Right now we have the one Resort Fee Thread that I maintain. There are a few other discussions floating around that will die off or be closed for the beatings of dead horses sooner or later.

I will add the suggestion to "the board" but I would put it fairly far down on the list. I have other ideas that might serve the purpose you had in mind that would be more general. Look for the next upgrade to the board. :)
