I'm curious if anybody here has any experience with the ground transportation from terminal 3, either taxi or shuttle. Sunday will be my first trip to Vegas since terminal 3 opened. I'll be flying Allegiant into the D Gates. It appears that I will have the option to either take the tram to terminal 1 or take another tram to terminal 3. I won't need to go to baggage claim since I will only have a carry-on.

Just wondering if terminal 3 is less crowded for ground transportation than terminal 1.

It is much less crowded. We took a cab and the line was quick.

The cab line at terminal 3 was pretty much non-existant 2 weeks ago...got one immediately. Since shuttles like to wait and fill up before leaving the airport, I'm sure it takes much longer by shuttle at terminal 3 than at terminal 1 because it isn't as busy.

Terminal 3 does have its own baggage claim area.

How does one determine what terminal they are flying in to? I'm flying AA there flight 2013 next month.

All International airlines depart from terminal 3 as well as domestic flights from Alaska Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Virgin America, Frontier Airlines and Sun Country Airlines.

United and Hawaiian Airlines have moved their check in counters and baggage claim to terminal 3 but will still depart from Concourse D, which are connected by underground tram.
