We want to go to 2 of these restaurants and can't make up our minds. Please help.
Tacos and Tequilla (lunch & rest.com coupon)
    Mesa Grill (lunch)
Border Grill (lunch or dinner with rest.com coupon)
First Food and Bar (lunch or dinner with rest.com coup)
We like to try different foods. Thanks

I have not been to Tacos & Tequilas so I cannot comment.

We have dined at Border Grill numerous times and have never been disappointed, but review the menu beforehand because it isn't Tex-Mex if that is what you are seeking. The weekend brunch is considered by many to be among the best in Las Vegas. It is all you can eat, but each dish is cooked to order.

Mesa Grill is a great luncheon spot. We had the goat cheese fundido as an app and each ordered the New Mexican spiced pork tenderloin for entrees - both dishes were great.

First Food and Bar offers upscale sports bar fare. We had the sampler that includes the chef's greatest hits and everything was good, but nothing warranted the price tag.

Border Grill - Excellent food and a great staff. You will get plenty of food and I beleive they had a patio that overlooks the Mandalay Bay Beach, which was really cool at night.

First Food - The food is good and the biggest portions I have ever seen. Having said that, the place is typically dead and way over priced. I would only go to First Food if it is 1 AM and I don't want to eat at a coffee shop.

I have eaten at Tacos and Tequila and it was very good. We did the Restaurant.com coupon as well, and everything went smoothly. The food was way better than I expected....definitely worth a stop with that coupon. I thought T & T was waaaay better than Isla at TI (which usually gets more publicity).

Isla at TI is WAYYYYYY overrated. I just don't get the hype.

We did the restaurants.com coupon at First Food for brunch last Sunday. We are both 50 and our daughters are 15, 19. Food is expensive and I would rate it above Hash House a Go Go but the cost was not worth the trade-off. Adavantage to First Food via the Restaurants.com coupon because they allow alcohol purchases and brunch. They had a DJ playing music and it was not too loud or oppressive, all of us enjoyed it.

I think I will eliminate 1st Food, from everything I read it just seems ok and maybe a bit overpriced. The restaurant that I didn't plan on eating at was Border Grill and now I think we will make that one of our choices. Is it very similar to Mesa Grill? We don't want to have similar entrees 2 days in a row. The way we research these restaurants, you would think it would be our last meal. LOL. Thanks

As others have suggested, if you're in Vegas on a Saturday or Sunday definitely try the brunch at the Border Grill. There's a bout 20 small plates that you can order as much as you want of, that are cooked to order and quite delicious (at least the ones I've tried). It's also a great opportunity to try a lot of things.

Have a look at the flier if you're interested:

I agree 100%. I have eaten at Isla twice, and both times its was one of the worst meals I have had in Vegas. Only that was good was the margaritas, and they weren't even that good.

Isla used to be great before Chef Ortiz left to go to T&T which is why the food at T&T is better than the now closed Isla
