Christie's approval rating has been over 60% in a democratic state.

He's doing an amazing job and has been the best governor we've had in forever.

Is he perfect? Of course not. But he's a MAJOR improvement over what we've had, and he'll make a great president.

I agree, but a monkey would be a major improvement over the last 3 idiots.

Is that sports betting thing gonna fly? I dunno, but when the voters approve something by a 2-1 margin ,most Pols want to be on the winnig side.
Sorry if this gets into a forbidden political discussion.

I petitioned my Senator that I would like to see Sports Betting in Illinois.

It's great news for people on the east coast. I mean really. I would love to bet one of the MLB games tonight if there was a legal sportsbook nearby. I'm pretty much done with the online things. I win, but roll it over into the next sport season. Baseball wins into football. Football into Basketball/Hockey.

I usually lose 25 bucks a week just for the entertainment.

    Here's an article from 2011

From what I read, the state is waiting for the Federal Government to lift the sportsbetting ban. Currently only 4 state allow sports betting NV, MT, OR, DE. Only one of those, NV has sports betting. The other 46 state missed out in 1991 when the federal law on sports betting were created or changed.

From other sources, I read that the 11 AC casinos are AGAINST it. The NFL opposes it, and for some reason, I came away with a feeling, that they main complaint deals with online sports wagering and offshore accounts.

Harrah's supports the NJ plans and has already dipped into the online market with a base set up in Canada.

    http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2011-11-08/sports/chi-new-jersey-voters-endorse-making-sports-betting-legal-20111108_1_amateur-sports-protection-act-legal-bets-oregon-and-montana

I for one support sports wagering. I would rather see it land based rather than only in an online format. However, if AC and NV are allowed to take online sports bets, where I make a bet at the Bellagio via my internet connection I would support only if the money stays here in the US and isn;t filtered in the Caymans.
