You have to activate your free play when you are there, it won't just show up on your MLife card... to do that you need to go to the MLife booth.

At the booth you can ask for your free play in casino chips and in the case of most offers you should have no problem with that (IE: some offers say "free play or casino chips..." but even if it doesn't say "or casino chips" you should still be able to get it in casino chips)

If you go with the free slot play you do need to run it through the machine one time (there is a counter you can track it with on the machine) before you can cash it out.

If you try to cash it out too soon or remove your card the free play will stay on your card and you have to activate it again at the next machine... one the free play is on your card you can't get it as promotional chips.

SOmetimes you can choose chips or free slot play. Just make sure you find out if the chips are one time only or play till you lose. Also with $75 dollars they are likely to give you 3 green chips.

I tried this last year at NYNY where I had $100 in freeplay. I wanted to play craps so asked for chips instead of freeplay. After some lengthy consultation with the on-duty manager, the MLife rep gave me a single $100 black chip. When I went to the craps table, they said they could not break the chip and I had to bet it all at once. I placed it on the 6, next roll was seven-out. Should have kept the freeplay…
