Finally, for those who are interested

I know this is way over due, but here is my TR from my first adventure to Vegas.

First you need a little background. Dakhota's birthday was on a thursday, and we were leaving the next morning bright and early for our weekend. Well, we HAD to go out for her birthday, which ended up being a big mistake. We got home around 2 and I had to finish packing. Im sure it would have been a sight to see, these two drunk girls at the trunk of a car packing a suitcase. Long story short:
Dakhota got sick
I had to put her in the tub, this was at 3 am
I had to print up out boarding passes
I finally fell asleep at 315
We had to be up and out of the house at 415 for our 6 am flight.

Needless to say, we both were feeling like dirt. We still arent sure how dakhota was able to drive us to the airport, but we made it.


Fast forward by an uneventful flight

We arrive, and while both of us are still way out of it, we manage some excitement at the fact that we are actually in Las Vegas. I had booked a car with baloons to take us to MGM, and that worked out great. D was really surprised.
So we get to MGM, but most of our luggage, 8 freaking bags, with the bell boys, and we went to try and check in. Yahoo, we got to check in at 8 in the morning. I was excited about that. The woman told us to call for our room around 2, which was fine, since I had also booked us a cabana fo the day, since I knew that we would need a day of recovery.

So we knew we had some time to spare so we kinda were just mozing through the casino. We decide to try our luck. D puts a dollar in a slot and on her first go, wins 90 bucks! I couldnt believe it, cause I put in 2 bucks and won nothing

So we change into our swim suits and head out to the pool. We got there a little early so we both just hopped on a chaise and chilled for about 45 min. I fell right asleep, D said she was just kind of taking it all in.

So we spent all day friday at the pool, in the cabana. Our cabana chick was AWESOME> she even managed to find me some advil, i had a horrible headache. The weather wasnt that great. It was overcast but not really cold. I had to practically forc D into the water cause to pool so effing cold, but it was refreshing and made me feel way better.

Fast forward to 6.

We get to out room. We had room 27406. It was near the elevator, which was nice, but it had a pretty cool strip view too, wich was extra cool. So we were happy about that.

D's brother and a couple of his friends were in town as well, and we had agreed to meet up with them and got out for some fun.

We ate dinner at the MGM buffet, which wasnt amazing but it was ok. We went up to change and meet up with D's bro and head out for the evening.

We went to RA, which was actually really fun. I really liked the music they were playing and it had a really fun atmosphere. I still wasnt feeling that great, so I just had a coupld beers, but d was downing the red bulls and vodkas, so i knew it was going to be a long night.

SO we are dancing and having fun, when the boys decide they want to go back to MGM and go to 54. Now, I was having tons of fun and didnt want to leave, so I was mad when Dakhota told me that she would leave me there. So i got pissed and stormed off and went back to the room and fell asleep. Ill I know is Dakhota went gambling and didnt come back till 8 am. Who knows what she was up to.

Day 2

Saturday moring comes and goes. We wake up at like 1230 and go eat McDonalds. We decide we want to gamble. But I want a drink, so we went to Fat Tuesdays and I got one of the monster sized hurricanes. He asked if I wanted an extra shot. I contemplated, but said no in the end. Thank God I did. We went up to play blackjack and out of nowhere I was incredibly drunk. I think Dakhota figured it out when I kept hitting hen I had 17. So she had me cash in and she took me upstairs so I could sleep it off. I have no idea where the time went, but this was at like 630. So I must have been way drunker than I thought I was. We had made dinner plans at Fiamma, the Italian place in MGM, for 930. We got all cute and dressed up and went and had an amazing dinner. Our waiter was way hot, too, which made it nice. We didnt get out of there until about 1230, so we decide to ski dancing and just gamble and "drink for free"

Dakhota went to the slots and I went to blackjack. We both lost our money, and went to bed drunk and dissappointed.

Day 3

Sunday, again we didnt wake up until like 1 or 130. I made the decsion that we needed to go and adventure, so we got a cab and went over to the Venetian. I had promised my mom, for some reason i must have been drunk, that we would go to the wax museum. So we were walking through the hotel, and I dont mean to offend anybody here, but I coul not help laughing at all the people who were filming and taking pics of all the fake frescos and Italian art, like it was all real. It was just so funny.

Anyways, we go to the wax museum, which was amusing then decide to SHOP!

So we head over to the forum shops and start looking around. Immediately we go to Agent Provaceteur and buy some unmentionables, so fun!
And I need a pair of shoes to go with this shirt I was planning on wearing that night. So we go on a mission to find them. And we did, which was cool. Donald J Pilner, really comfy, really cute, kinda expensive, but worth it so whaever.

Then I realize its like 7 and I still have to send in my homework online. So we quick find a cab and go back to MGM. I finish my work, paying a ridicualous amount for the internet, and cam back down.

We had eaten lunch late, so we didnt make plans for dinner. I wanted to play roulette aand D wanted to play craps, so we got all cute and went and gambled. We found an empty roulette table and wen to work. We were there for a few hours and I ended up winning like 250$, so I was way stoked on that. Its like almost 2 am and we havent eaten and are pretty drunk, so we went and ate and the Studio Cafe. It was pretty good, great for our midnight snack/dinner. We decided we wanted to dance, but didnt want to leave so we just went over to Tabu, the "ultra-lounge" at MGM. It was really chill, and they were playing good music. We were having a great time until 2 morons got into a fight and dakhota and I were drenched in their drinks. That pissed us way off.

So we went and changed and went back down and as we were walking back, something very interesting happend. We were propositioned by these to Canadian guys to go back to there hotel, Ceasers, and drink and all that and they would pay. Dakhota and I were like, sounds good, until they told us that they wanted to have an orgy. We were like WHOA, no thank you....hahaha it was so funny.

When the bar closed, we had these british guys following us around, which was really funny. And Dakhota wasnt tired, of course, so she decided to play craps. I was freaking so tired, but I wasnt leaving her by herself at 4 in the morning. There were some creepy looking guys hanging about so i stuck with her. Plus I was really drunk so I didnt care that much.

So we ended up going to bed at like 9 in the am, after a munchie fest from room service. That was really fun. We had made sure we had late late check out, 6pm, since our flight was leaving until 10ish.

So we slept all day and decided to have one last great meal. S we went to craftsteak and it was amazing. We had a great bottle of wine. And the people sitting next to us bought us a cosmo, so D drank that and I finsihed the wine. We were really drunk when we left dinner.

I wanted to press my lcuk one more time, so we found a roulette table, and in 10 mins I doubled my money, which was a perfect way to end the weekend.

We got home at like 12 and fell right asleep, dreaming and wishing we were still in vegas!

Final Thoughts:

6am flight, NEVER AGAIN
More drinking, less sleeping
We should have gone out more and done less gambling

Will def eat at Fiamma next time we go cause the waiters were hot and the food was excellent!

Going again in July for 5 days, so we will def be able to do more. I think we will go see shows this time...

 

It sounds like you had a fun trip! It's hard for me to balance party/ clubbing and gambling as well. It seems like one trip I either club too much and the next I'll be stuck to the BJ table. Anyway, glad to hear you had a fun trip.

Nice TR Jessie. I have a hard time balancing gambling and drinking too much so I just do both.

 

Jessie are you sure this was your first trip to Vegas? Sounds like you knew what you were doing
Is it a rule of thumb for women to take one suitcase for everyday of a trip?

We will be there July 23-29. We are hoping that giving us an extra full day will help balance out our schedule. Plus we want to go see a show or something like that. Who knows...should still be fun!
