    My Trip Report

Hey everyone, I'm booked at Mandalay Bay in March with my 3 friends. We fly in on a monday and leave on Friday and only one of us has been to Vegas before. What I need to know is what not to miss? I have been reading the boards for a few weeks now and you guys are a great source of knowledge. Let me know your suggestions, I appreciate it.

Depends on what you like, and what you want to spend your money on. I will say, with that amount of time, that you need to get downtown for an evening (take a cab, $20-$30, not bad split 4 ways). First time out, probably don't need to explore the strip north of Venetian, but if you do, stop and play craps at the SlotsAFun front table.

You picked a great place to stay. MB has great lounges, often with live acts (free). Spend a little afternoon quality time in the sportsbook (or one of the Mirage/Caesars/Bellagio books). Walk in the front door of the Luxor. Use that tram out front and a cab (or bus) now and then to save a little wear and tear on the feet - it's a long hike up to the Mirage end of the strip.

eat at red square or at rumjungle in the mandalay bay and spend some time at the island bar at the mandalay bay. great hotel, great rooms table minimums a little high. plenty of good looking people, both sexes. friendly dealers. depends on what you like to do. eat, drink, gamble, shows, so much to do here. i do agree with doc al, a trip downtown is well worth it, plenty of action, low table minimums. check out the menus at the hotels, the ice bar at the red square and a few special martinis is a great way to relax. the rumjungle is a real party place after dinner as well, tons of people and something to see. you picked a great hotel. we have stayed there three times and love it, check and see if the pool is open then, one of the best on the strip.enjoy you will not be disappointed.

Foundation Room is a must. if you can make it up there do so. Also there will be two new clubs, FortyDeuce and Mixx. By then those venues should be in full swing.

We're on the verge of booking to go back next year, staying at Mandalay Bay. I was swayed by the fact it's 'supposed' to be full of good looking people, women to be precise!

Make sure you post a trip report so I can see how the hotel fares. We stayed at MGM Grand last time and have to say was most impressed.
