You knew it HAD to happen...

So, I'm sitting here at my desk today, busy as usual, and I see I got an email message from Eddie, saying he might be ready to plan another trip sooner than we thought...so....

Guess who's going back to VEGAS, Baby!?!?!?

Yep, tha's right. Second weekend in November. We'll be at Binions, either holding court at the end of a craps table, or face down in a bowl of chili. I got reservations at the LV Club, again, but we're gonna see if we can get a room at Binions this time, instead.

Oh hell yeah. The countdown is on.

Sorry, but I just don't believe you won't be back to Vegas before November. September is more like it - in fact, I would not be surprised if you make a quick trip back in late August. Those Craps tables are calling.....

Well, Cruiser, won't be able to make it back before then because I've already spent all my winnings (bills, extra truck payment, and a $250 poker lesson at the local Indian casino this weekend ).

But I just found out this piece of great news. I called Binions Horseshoe this afternoon, and instead of asking for the reservation desk, I asked for a casino host. I told him my name, told him I was there last weekend and gambled quite a bit in their casino, and was interested in coming back to visit on Nov 7th for 3 nights. He put me on hold for about 30 seconds, and came back with, "Michael, we'd LOVE to have you come visit us again. We'll take care of everything...The trip is on us."

Folks, I can't tell ya how cool it was to get that full comp. I called Eddie and told him and he full on flipped out, and was emailing me the rest of the afternoon, because we are now seriously excited to go. Yeah yeah, "Vegas'd out"...What was I thinking?

So, no LV Club this time, but then again, I may check into Binions and not see the sun again till I leave.

Oh, and there will be a new Hawaiian shirt for every night, to go with my different Jimmy Buffet shirt for every day...

Oh hell yeah, the countdown is definitely on.

Mike, I think you are going to have a fabulous time. Actually, I played my very first craps game at Binions in April. I didn't know what the heck I was doing but I won five bucks and i gave the stick man a $2.00 tip. Then, I ventured to the $3.00 BlackJack table and won about $!2.00 and that was also my first time playing that. The dealer was very helpful and din't become annoyed at all. I must say that Binions has that real western feel of yesteryear.Good luck and congratulations on your full comp. Michele

Can I use your name when I go back (if the tax man dont eat me up next year) in March? I want fully stay. My free stay expires in January at NYNY. Funny, they give you free stay for your problems you had when you were there, then put an expiration date on it. Have fun, and drink a few drinks for me

You should put your Trip Report on one of those "Books on a CD" so that I can listen to it on my drive down next week. I have high hopes for your 2nd career as a full time author !! Maybe I will takes some notes of my own trip-sans any elevator talk -and send them to you for the final edit.

My trip reports are the PG-13 versions of what happened. There's always a few things that are fall over funny that happen to us in Vegas, that I've had to "edit for content". (Besides, my mom is the first one to email me asking for a link to my trip reports... ). I'm afraid that a books-on-CD version might have to feature a brown paper wrapper and a parental warning for explicit lyrics...
