nascar trip 2/24 to 3/2 first ever report

Rather Long and first report, I did not have computer to do daily reports so I kept notes. Not as colorful as BEEEJAYS, reports but will get better as more I do I hope.

Left from work and 15 min from airport full white out snow storm hits on 2/24 Airport is still open at check in and flight says on time looking good NOT 30 seconds later airport is shut down storm caught them by surprise.

I am traveling with a customer and my son. My son is flying United to Denver to Vegas do to delays he will not make connecting flight to Vegas so he re books to Milwaukee to ORD O’Hare and direct to Vegas. Well I talk to our flight crew and the pilot lives in Vegas he said we will leave not sure how late turns out 1 ½ hour delay.

I land in Vegas 10:30 get car head to check in was to have a great suite at Monte Carlo Hotel 32 top floor with Butler and all the best they have. Well they gave my room to someone 20 min ago because we were late bummer also double booked at Wynn’s for two nights head down there to get room and free play offer, great room and head on down to floor I get a call from my Son thinking I need to go get him at airport but find out he landed in Chicago but never got plane to a gate for him to make last flight to Vegas He will sleep in airport till 4: 30 he got a new flight 5 am to Dallas to Vegas fastest way here now so I will now pick him up at 10:30 am 12 hours late for his trip to start. This all has the makings of a trip from Hell so far.

Let the playing begin.

Walk around Wynn’s as I have not been there in some time find a machine calling me to it and in record time I hit it for 4 aces no kicker Machine was in front I was facing check in area Photos of 1200 or more I will post. So I play it down to 700 cash out and start hunting my next victim found this machine in front of players club centers no one else playing.

So I remember Beeejays wins on 5 dollars so I look for those and see that there are 6 or 7 players hitting the $5 to $25 machines and a few lights on this is a good sign for sure. Had sat down had 5 hundred ready to feed machine and some power from home must have pulled my arm back and never got the first hundo in Machine Note wife said do not start trip playing above comfort zone. I had talk to my wife even showed here photos from this board of peoples hits and 5 dollar machine seem to be more than Dollars I never have played a 5 dollar single line machine but I play 3-5-and 10 play Dollars so not sure why I get intimidated but I do so I got up and played with my back to the players club in that area middle machine I have a few hundred in it when I get dealt 4 aces with kicker. Less than 30 min and I have hit aces twice great start after a long trip getting here. I play 100 credits off my standard amount and switch machines. I put a hundred in each machine in the row but no luck I did hit a few quads but gave it all back. 2 am now.

Time for bed and booking first day a big winner.

Get up at 8 am get some food and did not want to get involved with a machine so I played 3 card poker till it was time to get my son. I just bet the pair bet not any of the antes or others seems like it’s the correct play as I played on my 100 buy in for 90 min and cashed out up 25.

Son is happy to see Dad and is hungry so we go back to MC as I am RFB get him some food he takes a shower, and we head to look at City Center. I take a few pictures for the wife back home we kill most of the day -never got going on a machine, tour cost about 600. Ouch. Back to MC for late lunch a power nap.

We head back to Wynn’s and Encore do a walk thru of Encore and find no machine calling me. Head back to my lucky machine at Wynn’s. No luck on machine so my son and I end up playing all the machines in that bank we were down about 600 each my son hit quad ducks with kicker and then magic continued with me as I got aces with kicker again, different machine facing players club on end machine. We played for about 5 hours we had many quads that kept us playing and we decided to call it a night at Wynn’s and I wanted to hit MGM for a few hours on a few slots my friends always play so off we went stopped for some food and my son stayed back after dinner for bed as he had a long day.

I found the Machine at MGM a $5 two coin 2 x money offer had about $300 in game when my first offer was 750 x 2 for $1500 took it and phone was dead no photo machine is next to a post back by all the 5 dollar slots cashed out and went to bed happy.

Friday is check out at Wynn’s and check in at Palms &TI. So I have a few hundred free play credits after check out I hit the Machine that dealt aces with kicker looking for my first royal this trip. I put in a twenty and activate my free play I hit about 5 full houses and get a few quads money is heading south so I switch to $2 and about the 5th hand up pops my aces no kicker I think I drew the same card different suit on redraw for a quick $1600. Cashed out and headed to pick my party to check in at TI.

Get our race tickets Paul is staying here and my son Mike and I check in at Palms. I stayed in room and my Son hits the BJ tables as I did some office work for a few hours on the phone got all my calls done and called my office for messages took care of those items, then I went and checked in at the LV HILTON unpacked a few items and off to hit Excalibur for 3 card poker at party pit.

My customer Paul was not in to slots but loved Holdem so he was bouncing between a few different casinos holding his own playing in as many tournaments as possible He was cashing in at a 33% of what he played so far and he said he was better off playing straight up he liked Bellagio’s best and did well there.

We all meet for Dinner at 8 pm and went to the 10pm show I dropped everyone off at there sleeping spots, it was too early for bed for me so I played a few slots at MC as it was my last night here . I had fun last night playing that money offer game and I found a 3 coin pin ball money offer machine. I had $275 in free play so I put in a 20ty and started to play free play I hit a few small wins and I was up a hundred bucks stopped free play at 225 I played this machine for over 3 hours before I ran out of credits. I was feeling lucky about this machine stuck in a 20 again started free play again Second spin hit for like $160 stopped free play at 2 hundred I played it for almost 90 min and hit the double double double for $2400

Its now 430 am and we have nascar to go to planned on going to track at about 10 am on Sat Went to track froze are butts off and left with 30 laps to go in race Harvick was in control so we left to get warmed up.

I had planed to hit Harrah’s Sat night and do my Diamond in a day so after shower a nap of 30 min and some food off to Harrah’s hoping to stick it to this worst service casino on the strip. Started out playing Triple play ddb put $500 in machine was doing poorly after 250 and not many wins switched to deuces wild Started with 3play won a two hundred fifty on back to back draws wild royals switched to 5 play I was avg 250 pts ever 15 min at this rate it will take me about 3 hours to get 3000 points to get Diamond just what I had thought it would I would change games if the cards went south seemed to work as at $800 in buy in now and at 2237 pts and had $ 250 credits moved to the Progressive bank this was a mistake I said I was not going to play that bank but I did but not for long I am now at 2269 pts and need to re think what is best to finish this up and soon

went back by poker room and sat down on a 3 play or 5 play machine put in 500 and start with 3 play ddb going south quick change to deuces get back to above even at 650 when it also heads south so I cash out move over to 10play start with ddb get dealt a flush then a straight a few other 3 of a kind and hit one for 2 quads machine goes dead change game to deuces play 10 hands saw one duce back to ddb and first hand Quad queens for $2500 play 4 or 5 hands more cash out made Diamond in 2hours 50 min and up $1400 Now I have great free rooms for friends to stay at will not spend any more $ here.

My Son just called he went bust play BJ. So he wants me to pick him up and needs a grand as he is down to $200 so I said I will pick him up in 15 min and we are heading to Bally’s and Gaggles lucky quarter bank for some low roller fun!

We start on a few machines and in two hours my son had hit 9 quads to my two. I told him that the Hilton quarter jack pot was over 1785 when I checked in and let’s go there to see if it’s been hit. We get car and hit the sports book and the quarter progressive it’s up to 1980 I raced him for the end machine but youth won out and he got the machine that we have hit a royal on almost every trip we stay at the Hilton. In Oct my wife hit that Machine for $1979.0 so I played the 2nd machine in from security guard station as the only other player was play the other end machine which is our second favorite on that bank. Mike goes thru his first 20 rather fast and a few hands in to his second he gets a dealt SF I have been blessed with 3 quick quads one being 3s with an ace for 800 credits I had just told him about the 3s and he said Dad I hit it. And sure enough his light was on, he said he knew he had to race me to that machine as he was here when his Mother hit it his last trip out her and he now has 3 royals on this machine himself over the last 5 years.

I run him back to the palms and head back down on the floor never get going and decide to sleep here as we have to get race tickets at the Hilton for my Son and his co worker that is staying with family in Henderson. Get cleaned up eat quick and gert Mike and his friend on bus to track.

Head over to TI get Paul and head for our bus at 9:15 am for track. The race was great and the early start time got us back home to TI by 4:45 last year it was like 9pm. Took a 3 hour nap as it’s the last night as we leave for airport at 5pm tomorrow

I am at the Hilton and need to give my host some play. I made a last minute switch and played slots as a few machines were empty that had high jackpots on them and I get more points than VP played from 10pm till 630 am never took any money out of my pocket other than the original $300 buy in. cashed out for $200 and went to eat.

Came back and played a machine my wife won 10 grand on in October Quick Hits 2 coin machine the small progressive was high at 1048 played it for about 90 min and hit the small progressive for 1055. called my wife back home and told her I hit her Machine She thought I won the 10,000 like her but it took like 3 times before she got that I won the small jackpot thank God she understood as she was going shopping to day for new furniture because she knows I am up and she has been hinting about wanting a new car.

I head up to room take a hot bath and shower check out and head to TI to check out get Paul and head to the Palms Take every one to eat again and play my free credits and check out and head to Bellagio’s for the last chance to hit my royal for this trip.

Its 12:30 pm we have 4 ½ hours before we must leave we find that the Jacks progressive is at 7900 so Mike and I start there I set a side $700 for this last go round well we play about 90 min and I have 350 invested in game I tell my Son to not go below $100.0 and cash out lets go to the other progressive and I do having Mike play the 50 cent bank he lasts about 20 mins when he’s out of Money so he comes over to me and I only have 0nehundred dollar bill left, and about 50 credits when I hit quad 10s I then play that from like 300 credits down to 0 time for the last 100.0 its like 3;15 pm This last hundred minutes is unreal.

I kiss the last 100 bill put it in machine and get dealt a flush then 2 or 3 straights then draw 2 full houses and then aces with a kicker I tell my son go get me 480 on my atm card as I have my cash in a save place and do not want to expose it. So I move over stick in a hundred and before I get paid hit aces no kicker 4s no kicker cash out and have my son slide over and put a hundred in next machine I am still waiting to get paid run to bathroom, now they are waiting to pay me. Play it off and get aces full of 2s do I keep it or go for ACES I kept it. I had a few hundred credits on this Machine and had Mike play it and I had moved over to the next machine that he just put a 100 into in about 15 or 20 min I am busted so I ante up another hundred and away we go mike still has 95 credits and I have him cash out and go to the other side and he hit’s quad 7s dealt on second or third hand. He is playing away and I draw to two aces and say holy F---- Aces with kicker its now about 4:30 I take the 1200 from the second machine hit and go to play some 5 and 10 play for the last 30 min or the 1200what ever comes first.

The first machine I sat at I went like 0 for 8 and now I am down to $1000.0 I cash out slide over start with 3 play I get down to 600 and hit 4 of a kind on the deal for 750 back up to 1350 go to 10 play miss a 4 card to royal twice in 3 min its 10 to 5pm tell son to go get Paul in poker room I just switch back to 3 play as I was down to about 750 and I hit single quads I said ok 2 more hands and we will leave the last hand I get 3 to royal and hit my royal on the draw . What a way to end the trip.

We get paid and we are almost running to get to car and back to car rental we get to airport 50 min before our flight just make it for our bags to get on plane. We stop at Burger King for food on way to gate get to gate and our group is boarding. I ask gate agent how full is flight he said all seats taken. When I entered the plane I told the crew if they need a bump I would take it. I am in seat when they ask someone if they would still bump and he changed his mind so then they asked me. I and I jumped out of my seat, asked Paul to take my bags with him and I would see him tomorrow.

Got my paper work $347. flight credit that’s great I paid $89 per way. Took a cab to Bally’s were my son was playing till 9Pm for his flight. Got a free room took my son to dinner and played $60 in quarter progressive and went to bed before 10pm that was a first for me set alarm for 8:30 had breakfast and went to airport a had a great flight home and I was already recharging a full day early as I had a great night sleep.

This ranks about # 4 on my all time best trips ever. I will try to down load the Photos on Wed as my son will stop over after bowling and help me.

You might want to think about using paragraphs next time. It is overwhelming to the reader when there are no paragrph breaks to give the reader a pause. Nice report though.

 

Good first report , some nice wins you had even tho you all had a bumpy start to your trip

Paragraphs would be nice next time, just easier reading , looking forward to your pictures , too

 

I thought at the beginning you were going to write that the person who took your Monte Carlo room was your son! That would have been a nice surprise, but alas, no such luck overcoming flight delays. Nice score on the flight credit too.

So dog, my man, what was the total win?

 

Lets just say I was up 6,700 before I started my last 4 hrs of the Trip Thats why my buy in was $700 But I did hit the ATM for 480 as I had no cash and Machine was locked waiting for hand pay. Dogdaddy
