Best I could get from Wynn was 119 per night (plus 50 resort fee), for a panoramic king at Wynn. We love the pools there, and love the property. Don’t love gambling there, we usually go down to Cosmo to gamble and drink. (Total Cost at Wynn is about 580)

Which leads me to option 2: Was able to get 3 nights upgraded to a 1BR Terrace Fountian View room for $325 total (including resort fee). We have stayed in a 1BR terrace before, but it didn’t have the fountain view. Seems like a cool add on for a place we like to hang out anyway.

    Leaning to Cosmo.

Anything I’m not considering? Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

If I were in that position, I'd probably go with Cosmo. It just seems like such a hike to go all the way from Wynn to Cosmo to gamble and drink, especially since I always liked to stay and play (and eat!) at the same place, and the freedom to just get in an elevator to go to or from the casino floor as opposed to a long walk or a cab ride. They're both great properties, though.

If you're going to gamble at Cosmo anyway it seems like a no brainer

Ha. : ) .. in terms of gambling spend I guess. I budget $500 a day and primarily play bartop VP. We do enjoy the nicer properties.

You plan to spend time at Cosmo regardless, and it’s cheaper. As much as I am a diehard Wynn fanboy, this is a no-brainer.

If you haven't stayed at Wynn before it might be nice to give it a try while you have that rate offer.

I would do Cosmo. Wynn constantly runs that same offer, my wife has been getting it for years.

We have stayed at Wynn/Encore 3 times, and Cosmo (last year) once.

We like the pools much better at Wynn/Encore, but like the vibe better at Cosmo. We loved that 1BR Terrace room last year and Feel like the fountain view will be a cool experience this go round. Saw Wynn just upgraded the resort credit to 150, so that equalized the cost a bit…. Decisions decisions.

Pick Cosmo and play at one of the two Triple Spin Poker machines at Bellagio by the "O" store/Poker room if they're still there.

They have full pay Bonus Poker and you can play one line at quarter denom. At least they were there in August 2023. They've been my go to machines for Video Poker for a while, and will extend your budget further compared to a 6/5 BP found on bartops.

Wynn every day, all day, if strictly to avoid the mass of humanity and craziness in that stretch of the strip.

Just got back from staying in the same suite in the Cosmo for the first time and we usually stay at the Wynn here are my thoughts.

    1. We like the pool area at the Wynn better its both larger and has more options for shade plus you are protected from the wind.
    2. The Cosmo's restaurant lineup is a good or better from our point of view, plus with the new walk way to the Bellagio and Aria you can access more restaurants with out having to take a cab.
    3. The 1 BR Terrace view room is an amazing room and has nice usable space. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace and watching the fountains and strip.
    4. Your low rolling options are better at the Cosmo and you are across the street from Planet Hollywood with additional low roller options.
    5. The Wynn does seem more relaxing in terms of the density of people and being able to roam around a much larger interior space.

Given the rate I would choose the Cosmo but if you are big pool people that is a definite downside.

I hear you… we really don’t like that stretch of the strip (outside) but like the vibe inside Cosmo. Am curious to check out Resorts World as well glad there is more going on around WynnCore

Man.. you nailed it here. Perfect summary. We are pool people and the 21+ encore pool is one of our favorites. No shade at cosmo, but we got a good deal on a daybed last year so that made it manageable. I’m checking every day to hopefully find that deal again. I don’t think I have stepped foot at Planet Hollywood, favorite game there?

    I was a casino royale craps player lol…. : )

    Thanks for the thoughts.

Yes, on the floor. 4 machines arranged like a clover, two of which are triple spin. Hope they're still there :)
