Made it 6 pages unsuccessfully looking for Cromwell opinions. Have a good offer from Caesars, love the location. Willing to roam for meals and gambling. Any thoughts on vibe of staying there? Thanks in advance

I stayed there for the first time almost exactly two years ago. Here are my thoughts...

    - Overall, I like it a lot. The location is fantastic. Being perhaps the smallest hotel on the strip makes it very easy to navigate with not very much walking to be done. It's also the only Caesars property I've ever stayed at in recent years where picking up the phone will connect you to somebody actually on property, as opposed to an offshore call centre.

    - Having only 188 rooms, it is also VERY unlikely that there will be crazy long lines like you'll find at other Caesars properties in Las Vegas. This may be a key consideration if you're arriving at a busy time...

    - I cannot comment on the regular rooms as I stayed in a suite, though I will say I liked the suite I had. I'm not a fan of the decor... the dark colours do feel a bit gloomy, and the "Faux Parisian" theme is really corny in my opinion. Knowing that it used to be a somewhat basic casino property before it was the Cromwell, it looks very "lipstick on a pig".

    - I don't play very much with CET anymore, though even when I played more with them it was tough to come by comps at Cromwell. With relatively easy comps elsewhere within the CET chain, I'd GENERALLY take elsewhere for free versus paying $50 or $100 or so per night to stay at Cromwell. It's better, but not "go out of your way" better if that makes sense. In my opinion at least.

    - I will likely reach 5,000 tier credits this year which will get me one free night anywhere in certain markets to include Vegas... and without a doubt, Cromwell would be my #1 choice for this reward.

    - Finally, I will add that the "vibe" of Cromwell is likely not for everybody. But this varies greatly from person to person. For example, I don't like the vibe of Cosmo at all... and yet it's one of the most popular properties among VMB members. Go figure. I would say that if the vibe of Cromwell didn't throw you off at all if you've ever been in there to gamble or eat/drink, then you won't be thrown off by staying there.

Happy to provide any other insights if I might have missed anything.

Stayed over valentines this year. Was great. Quiet, easy to get to your room. Very friendly staff. Tables had $5 options late night and early morning. Drink service was on point. It's a very small and very quiet casino. Vibe is extremely chill. The dealers and pit staff are super friendly.

Quick access to the strip for sure. Noise may be an issue if you have a room facing flamingo road, but did not bother me the two stays I’ve been there, with the exception of an ems siren. Pool is a day club so not sure about access for a hotel guest, but I know you can use the flamingo pool as well but same atmosphere. Rooms are a bit dark/tight imo, and weirdly part of the upper tinted shower glass faces the room area. Stage door bar is just a quick walk for cheap drinks, but very smoky.

I’ve stayed here twice, both times in a suite. I like the gambling but the rooms are too dark and decor weird. Casino good because it’s small and navigable.

To my knowledge, Cromwell is the only casino strip property with a rain shower in their base level rooms. So I like it for that reason alone. However, I always self-park. And the Cromwell self-park garage is horrific. Which means I generally avoid staying at Cromwell.

I forgot to mention this... lots and lots of $5 carny games at Cromwell!

Oooh, this is great info! I love a good rain shower :)

Pool is awesome with a great view. This is two different hotels though. On the weekend, it is a party spot and it is PACKED with clubbers. I would assume the pool in the weekends would be the same. During the week, things are slower, the pool is quiet. In fact during the time I was there, they didn't charge to sit on the empty chairs and couches around the pool, nor did they roust you. That may have changed though.

I would also add to others that they have a lot oft $5 tables late at night. I play Mississippi Stud there when I am drunkenly strolling through, which is quite often.

Bathrooms are nice but rooms are small and dark. And be aware that in a regular room, unless things have changed, and when the lighting is just right, you can see into the shower from within the room. You have been advised.

They put giant mirrors in front of this last year. So you can't see into the shower from the room anymore.

Good to know. I did not really notice it at first, but certainly thought it was odd when I did

Great location, small compact hotel means easy to get to the strip.

Negatives: no great quick service food options. Actually not a lot of food options at all. Giada's is nice, and there's a counter service cafe in the front. But that's about it, if I remember right.

I was not impressed with Cromwell.. at all. This was my room there last year. It's been a while now since they updated the property and they're not maintaining it well. Only positive was the short time from room to casino to strip.

Totally disagree on parking. I’ve parked there maybe 10x and always find a spot before the forced hard right turn maybe 100 yards in.

Property is a 3.5 star property and kinda meh but I like the smallness and central location.

I like the location at Cromwell and the small footprint. Rooms are small and dark but have their own charm and Keurig coffeemakers in the room (consider bringing your own K-cups).
No line at the Eatwell (Cromwell version of Starbucks).

BUT if you are there on a weekend, make sure to get a room as far from the elevators (hopefully facing Flamingo St) as you can or you will hear the thump of the music from Drais pretty deep into the night. For that reason @Philonous815 insists he won't stay their anymore.

To clarify. I don't ever have a problem finding a parking spot. But I always find the parking lot elevator and the general structure to be badly maintained. Also, for whatever reason, I hate any parking structure that requires me to walk out in the open air before entering the hotel. For example, the Flamingo self parking lot is objectively worse than Cromwell's with respect to available spots and how cramped it is. But because there's an indoor walkway to Flamingo, I can forgive it.

The casino can be a real menagerie when Drai's lets out in the morning.
I game there a few times every trip and never stay long. To me there's no vibe at all. Limited slot selection since it's small.

I’d like to try Cromwell but always been afraid I’d get stuck with a room just below the club or overlooking that bridge walkway.

With that said we always liked hanging out in there because it’s super chill. Also if you’re an early riser on the weekend you can just park yourself at the bar and see a lot of interesting post-clubbing shenanigans.
