Looking to book a mid June trip. Caesars seems to have the best rates online that I’ve seen but I’m not familiar with their rooms. I’ve previously stayed at the Venetian and it’s a little too expensive for my tastes at the moment lol! We are looking to be center or very close to the center of the strip, pool time with bigger pool(s) less crowded is important, but not a deal breaker. Prefer one of the larger hotels just because. Book online or call direct and ask for a certain view/tower? Suggestions? Tips?

Center strip, larger resort, with a larger yet not crowded pool. I am not sure CP is the best choice for that criteria (I would say Flamingo or Bellagio fit that criteria slightly better). But if you have already settled on CP, I would book the Augustus tower. I stopped staying at CP several years ago, but the standard Augustus room was better than the standard rooms in all the other towers. I cannot imagine that has changed

For Caesar’s I prefer the Julius tower due to its close to the entrance and casino. Augustus is better views and nicer rooms but it is a haul to the room. Octavius is the longest haul for any point in the hotel except the pool. Palace tower is nice and has good rooms but is similar to Octavius from the entrance put close for the pool. Colosseum tower To the food court and the forum shops and Has been recently renovated. But Caesars is not cheap so I’m surprised that is your choice. The flamingo is probably the best deal in that area, but he is definitely crowded but so is Caesars

Thank you, we were thinking Caesars because of the location and “big” resort hotel experience but the Flamingo sounds like it would be a good option as well.

Going from your previous Venetian experience to the Flamingo will be quite a huge difference. Flamingo is so small too, you certainly won’t get mega resort vibes. Also to note that if pool is important to you, their pool is beautiful but the main pool is more of a party pool environment. Any of the room categories at CP will far trump those of the flamingo. I would certainly go CP, Bellagio, or even Aria if those rates are comparable to your dates.

If you ended up booking Caesars, then you should pick Palace tower, because its elevators are right in front of the pool entrance.

Let's see, Caesar's Palace or Flamingo? Are you kidding? Caesar's rooms are far better, in my opinion. In fact, Flamingo has become something of a dive in recent years, again, my opinion.

Have you considered Paris. Pool is basically a cement pond, but offers easy access without going thru casino. Never had an issue with getting a lounger. Indoor walkway to Horseshoe and quick walk to PH. Casino did seem a bit dingy(?) when I passed thru there last NYE. Most of my recent pool weather stays have been at CP for the pool area. Nicest by far of all the CET props.

I would also suggest Paris. Usually less expansive than Caesars itself.

If Venetian is the "measuring stick"—that being your recent stay—I would most certainly recommend Paris over Flamingo, but in the original tower to enjoy that quick "right off the elevator" walk to the pool.

We've stayed at all three of the CET properties mentioned in this thread and I would pick Paris if the Caesars/Paris price differential was significant.

Poolwise, Horseshoe actually sounds like what you are looking for. A large pool area/pool with a deep end. Nothing over the top fancy, but nice and chill. And rarely is it crowded. The most chill pool area in the CET universe.

Paris pool may be more unspectacular than Horseshoe considering the property. Generally more crowded too. But you usually have some space.

Caesars Palace pools are generally busy, but so spread out with enough pools that it often doesn't feel overwhelmingly crowded. But you may have to rent an overpriced lounger to gain access to some pools.

I truly dislike the pool areas at Flamingo. The all-ages pool area is small and always packed in the summer. Packed as in your chances of finding a chair is just about zero unless you arrive within a short window when it opens. Packed as in just walking around the pool area can be a challenge due to the small area and crowd. The 21+ pool area is larger, but also packed in the summer. It's a party pool, as in PARRRR-TAYYYYYY! Loud party music, harmless but often obnoxious drunks.

Full Disclosure: I like chill pool areas. Pool time is relaxing time for me. I don't want a party with a DJ and a bunch of drunks when I hang by the pool.

I like CP and agree with the Palace tower suggestion for pool access.

One thing to note with the Paris suggestions, as I happen to be here now…. They are in full swing of the exterior Jubilee to Versailles Transformation and walkway bridge. The pool won’t be relaxing for the next couple of months as you definitely see and hear all the construction/crane work going on above and adjacent to the Paris pool deck.

If it helps, here is the view from right now from the Octavius tower at Caesars. The pools on the west end I believe are reserved pools, based on the signage that I see. Most of the free chairs are taken and you can tell the reserved chairs by the little placards on the front of the chair. The pools themselves don’t look too crowded and while I can hear a little music, it is not loud enough to be noticeable 17 stories up. I doubt I will have time to use the pool, it is generally not something I do on a solo trip, but could be useful for others. IMG_3493.jpeg IMG_3492.jpeg IMG_3491.jpeg IMG_3490.jpeg

Thanks for all the suggestions, a lot to take in! BUT….we booked Caesars and are beyond excited! We have a room in the Palace Tower overlooking the pool.

You’ll be happy, I’m sure. I used to only stay in Augustus, but actually prefer Palace now.

If I'm with my family and during summer, I prefer the Palace Tower for closer access to the pool. Otherwise, I prefer the Augustus Tower Fountain View room for the Bellagio Fountain show. Julius has smaller rooms than Augustus but a little closer to the casino. Palace Tower 2 Queen has an extra bathroom is that's important, but the room size between Palace and Augustus are similar.
I'm staying there next week with family and booked the Augustus Fountain View room which seems to be the most desired as they always run out when I check in (late) and receive some dining comps and get checked into the Palace Tower. (Hint: This might be a trick to get free dining comps if you're checking in late).
I once booked a Augustus 2 Queen room and upon checking in after midnight, they didn't have my room and got checked into a corner Suite with a big hallway and living room with floor to ceiling windows close to 1,000 sq ft.

About gambling: CET does not have the best odds, unless you're in the high limit room with $100-$500 min bets. Outside the high limit, there are horrible game odds such as 6/5 for Blackjack, Triple 0 Roulette, lower odds Craps, and other games that pay less than your home state casino.

CP has proper craps odds and 3x field. The other CET properties have "strip" odds.
