I had offers for 3 free nights midweek but they didn’t go out to my dates when I called to make my reservation. But they would let me use my free sterling night on Saturday for a Saturday to Tuesday trip. I asked if I booked would that affect offers that may come later and was told no. Since then, all room offers have fallen off and haven’t come back. This was like 4 weeks ago. Are they not offering me that room comp because they know I am already there? Trip is in June of that matters. Thanks for any help or advice.

Same thing happened to me. I booked my gold nights and stopped getting offers for midweek rooms. I even called them but they said if it's not showing up I'm out of luck.

I'm having to book my last night at the casino rate, will try to get it taken care of on the backend.

So you booked 1 night (Saturday) and were going to book the other nights later? Or you booked 1 night (Sterling night) + a 3 night offer?

Historically, booking a tier-based night(s) would not block future marketing offers.

But booking any number of regular offer nights WOULD block future offers until after the stay was completed. Because they were protecting themselves from getting burned more than one time. I believe until several months after MGM took over, they would only ever show you one offer at a time.

If their policy was to block future offers from going out until a stay was completed, then there's some logic to also disappearing future offers that already existed, once you book an offer.

I don't know if anything has changed and as @EzE pointed out, it's not clear exactly what you booked or what the windows were for the offers you say disappeared.

Well personally with my short and recent time with Cosmo, I was getting offers even when I had a booked offer. I have a booked trip in May, and 2 offers on the website. One from before I booked, and 1 from after I booked.

I guess it stands to reason that MGM may have loosened up on that policy, since they allow multiple bookings in their own system. Or maybe there's old hook in there that's affecting some people and not others.

I made Platinum for the first time late last year, and almost immediately booked my Platinum tier nights for a weekend in June that I knew I would be coming (this was back when I thought I was going to lose the Platinum nights if not booked before January).

Ever since then, I have completely stopped getting any comped room offers from Cosmo, despite the fact that I had been getting them consistently for several years. I called Identity to ask why and they insisted it wasn't because I booked the tier nights, but could give no information. They twice told me that someone in marketing would investigate and call me back, but no one ever did. (It would be hard to believe I lost my offers because my play decreased, since I earned far more credits last year than I ever had in the past.)

Yeah, I wasn't as clear as I should have been. I wanted to book my Sterling night since they said I could do it Saturday. I asked if I went ahead and booked the other nights of my trip, would I still get offers and if so and they were better than my rack rate discount, could I rebook. The person I spoke to said yeah, you'll continue to get offers. But I have not. My rates for the other two nights are not particularly good so I am pretty sure its not part of an offer. Considering cancelling everything except my sterling night and seeing if I get offers for free rooms since its still a little ways out. I'm getting comped rooms at PH so I am not out anything, Id actually be saving over $500 but I would prefer to stay at Cosmo if at all possible, just using my offers that I have had literally every month for the last year until I booked this trip.

I booked all my nights but my offers didnt extent to the date so I assume it was just at a player rate but did get one night free for my sterling night.

If they didn't call you back and you're Platinum, I doubt I get a better answer.

June is getting a little tight. If your trip is at the end of June, it might be worth a shot at cancelling your Sterling night and waiting a couple of weeks to see if your regular offers come back. Or cancel both if you actually have two separate reservations, one for the tier night and one for the other nights.

Obviously the risk is you get priced out of the Sterling night on that Saturday in the meantime and the price goes up on the other nights. It's pretty risky at this point.

You might also try emailing Identity, I haven't contacted them in a while, but I always found their email responses to be detailed and thorough. They can take a little more time to look into it before replying than when someone has you on the phone.

The full domain name is cosmopolitanlasvegas.com

[email protected] is the last one I used. I don't see it anywhere on the website now, but give it a try.

Email response to my question as to why offers stoped coming when I booked a trip:

“Offers are sent out based on play. The last time you had any activity on your account was June of 2023.
Promotional Offers are also sent out from our Marketing team. Therefore, we would not be able to guarantee
that you will receive and offer for June of 2024.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.”

At this point, I’m very tempted to cancel all the nights and see what happens and book a free room at PH in case prices spike.

Don’t shoot me if not, but the last time I had tier nights booked and cancelled them, about a week or so later I had a new offer.

I’d cancel and book the backup IF you’re happy to use the backup worst case.

That seems like an awfully quick hook based on no activity, assuming the date they are stating is accurate.

I haven't stayed there since March 2022 and I currently have a open 3 night + $75 FP offer that runs through August. The last time I played there was August of 2022 but that was just to burn off about $50 in accumulated slot points because I knew I wasn't going to be staying there again until at least after the switchover.

I guess you have to take them at their word that activity is the reason. They may have different cutoff criteria for different play levels.

I think if I was in that position, I'd cancel at least the paid nights and do the PH switch.

Maybe that will unstick the offers.

Maybe just chill out on the Sterling night and keep your bankroll for PH.

If you have some reasonably recent history with MGM, you'll probably be able to get something comped at Cosmo after the merge happens.

Their offers make ZERO sense. I stayed twice late 2023. Best that’s showing is a studio fountainview. I did over 160k coin in 2023. I’m almost certain that the merge is upon us….

Umm. How many gaming days for that 160k coin in though? I put in less than 100k coin in last year over 9 gaming days and I can get Wraparounds some nights and Terrace Suites the others. My offers came pretty recently too. Feb/March 2023. I'll be in a Terrace Suite FV next month on one of those offers (I actually didn't like the Wraparound when I stayed there my last trip).

I did about 150k coin-in in 2023 and I’ve haven’t gotten a single comped offer for any room all year.
