If you have any local friends, or can make any along the way, they can buy $1 monorail tickets, which dramatically changes the calculation on what's a better deal.

You can get free Monorail Passes using MyVegas. Its 2k points for a 1 day pass, and gets cheaper for multiday passes. Its not hard to get 2k points. I get 400 points for just logging into the app once a day.

Unless they have changed it, the myvegas rewards are bogo deals, not just free passes.

Actually, just double checked and its worse. Buy one to get 50% discount on other.

Hmmm. Yeah, I just checked and they are BOGO. When did that change? Its been a long while, but last time I used one of these it was just free, not BOGO.

I've been playing since I think 2020, and I don't remember them ever *not* being BOGO. Sure wish they'd change that.

Its been a REALLY long time for me and if you just look at them, it doesn't say BOGO on the tile for it. Can't see that until you click the reward to try and buy it. So I just assumed it was free.

Took monorail to Sahara from MGM Grand last time and it was pretty empty and super quick. Like previously mentioned there is some walking fom the stops to casinos but wasn't too bad. Multiday passes are fairly reasonable (7 day $57)

IMO there are exactly two use cases where the Monorail makes sense:
    1. Going between Sahara or MGM Grand and other connected properties (Westgate, Harrahs, Linq, Flamingo, Ballys, Paris, maybe Venetian/Palazzo)
    2. Going between the LVCC and anywhere except Fontainebleau (walk), Resorts World (Loop), Circus Circus (walk and Loop), Wynn (Uber), and Encore (walk direct or walk and Loop, or just Uber, you can afford it if you're staying at Encore)
Deuce or Uber for anything else depending on how much of a hurry you're in and what your budget accommodates.

Get a players card at Strat, play a bit, they will send you "Uber Business" coupons for $5 off all the time. So...quick stroll to The STRAT , and your Uber to Mirage will be $6 out of pocket (+tip) or so

The monorail is so far off the strip that they really need to connect it to downtown and the airport for it to make any kind of sense. Just going from casino to casino on the strip you are often better off just walking unless you are going from MGM to Sahara or something. I've ridden it for that latter purpose a few times but that's it.

I'd love to see them "finish" the monorail but I'm not holding my breath.
