Staying there at the Conrad for first time end of March. Just looking for a few bullet points, good and bad.

*apologies if this is redundant...didn't see anything on the search that fit what I was looking for.

In the most general sense, I would say RW has a very good restaurant selection. The spa is very good, probably second tier.

The casino is the casino. There is nothing really special about it. But you will find plenty of table and slot options.

The bad is the service. There are certainly friendly, good workers there. But overall, they do not make things convenient and there are some workers that give poor service. Also, arguably bad is the general design, layout and vibe of the resort. It feels like a large shopping mall with dying stores and a casino in the middle of it.

I might also throw the tech in the bad category. I haven't stayed in a room there in over a year, so hopefully all of the tech glitches are fixed. But when I last stayed overnight there, the tech was a joke

We had our second stay at the Conrad in December for one night only. We are pretty low maintenance people. No real requirment for service of any kind. Checkin was a breeze. Room was clean and wasn't missing anything to the best of our knowledge. It still had the "new" feel to it. Our only meals were Juniors for breakie which was ok, nothing special and a couple small plates and drinks up on Alle 66. Loved the atmosphere and vibe up there. We were early pre U2 show so it was pretty chill. I have no idea how it would be later. Table by the window was great. Small plates were fine but, nothing special. It is not cheap but, we had a RC to use up and we did! I spent a couple hours at the Centre bar enjoying awesome Manhattans while playing VP. I was only on the floor for a bit and didn't partake in any table games this time. I kinda warmed up to the place a bit. It gets a lot of negative comments from everywhere. Even though we have stayed twice, our time on property and partaking of emenities has been minimal. Depending on future offers, we are open to staying again and perhaps doing the pool, spa, higher end dining etc. as one leg of a two leg LV stay.

Is there a 2 drink minimum at Alle 66?

Two drink or food. So you can get two small plates and two drinks for two people or a combination thereof

I'll second the service issues. It's just amazing to me that, two years after opening, there are still staff members who seem to take pride in having no idea what they're doing or any interest in learning, and instead are perfectly happy to respond with a helpless shrug to basic queries. It's frustrating because this is such a fixable problem. The layout is what it is, as is the lack of energy in that weird hallway where Carversteak is, but there's no reason for a staff member stationed by the food court to respond to a question about opening hours with, "I dunno, I think you can check the website."

I will continue to echo my thoughts that RW is underrated!

    From my experience. The good:
    - Center Bar and Crockfords Casino Bar have amazing bartenders (Aaron, Chris, and Matt come to mind). I make it a trip to come by every trip for a Nergoni or two. Bar comps are generous- very much like the old days at Cosmo. Crockfords Bar has $1 single play but also 3,5,10 play Ultimate X at $.25 (which is my go to).
    - Rooms are standard. All have a similar footprint whether you're at Hilton, Conrad, or Crockfords. Expect a comfy bed and decent water pressure. Also very bizarre pillows that seem to be filled with air (okay that belongs in Bad).
-Gym is one of the nicest in Vegas if you're into that.
    - While casino is generic, the selection of slots and VP is decent. Slots have continued to improve massively with every stay (First stay was a lot of "off brand" machines and now they have the crowd favourites. I've put it in my Vegas rotation, actually stay there almost every trip at least a night or two. And, fun fact, in 2023 I had my highest coin in at RW and very small Win/Loss (2.3% hold, which is actually crazy compared to my Wynn, MGM, and Cosmo statements).
-Food options are great. I really love Wally's and visit every trip, Viva! is decent north strip Mexican, Aqua has a great wine list, and do good cocktails and food, Brezza is great italian as well.
-Suns out Buns Out is Eggslut without the line. To be honest I think I actually like it a touch better.
-Spa is massive and I rate it probably top 3 just under Encore and Aria when it was better maintained. Huge common area in case you're at the spa with someone of the opposite sex
-Starbucks has app ordering and is 24/7
-Lots of new places rotating in (likely because many aren't doing well), but appreciate their constant attempts to add dining venues to draw people in
    -Nice pool deck

    The not so good:
-Hours can be wonky (ie the pizza place is closed a lot of mid-week days), as noted Famous Foods seems to have odd hours and not all stalls are always open
-Slightly limited breakfast options. May have changed with Junior's opening, but previously it was Suns out Bunds Out, a horrible food truck at Dawg House (the only place that would take Hilton credit), and The Kitchen. Compare that with the Brunch Haven of WynnCore and there's no comparison
-not always hugely crowded, which is good and bad. Some nights feel quite "quiet" but if you're around during convention season it's slammed.
-If you're paying out of pocket, you can probably get a better value/location. I get decent comp offers at Conrad and generous Free Play and Resort credit which makes it very appealing
-Apparently have a reputation for being tight on slots, but as noted it's oddly the only place I've done well this year.
    -The pillow thing mentioned above.

I used to be a Wynn, Cosmo, Aria (in that order) guy. Since Cosmo imploded post MGM, and with Aria constantly tightening the screws, I'm seriously considering making my future stays North Strip Focused. Wynn will continue to be #1 (and hopefully one day I will actually win there....), but I could easily fill a trip between Wynn and RW.

Here's our few bullet points from our 2 stays (both 3 nights)
    • Conrad check in a breeze both times - fastest check in of any resort in Vegas
    • King Premium and 1 Bedroom Suite - loved both rooms - great bathroom - good shower pressure - beds comfortable
    • Center Bar for Video Poker - enjoyed that - mostly good and friendly bartenders - good comp value on drinks
    • High Limit room Poker Bar - we enjoyed this area in the mornings for some play and a mimosa
    • Casino floor - lots of games - no energy - we don't hear people winning - if there is a sound for that!! We don't hear or see any handpays or jackpots. I think we saw maybe 1 in 4 days - not ours - and we spend a ton of time in the casino - both trips having been losing ones - usually the same at other casino except we don't seem to get much play for our coin in as we do other places
    • Casino Cocktail service - poor - service staff stand around and talk and talk.....we have seen the rare staff member who seems genuinely interested in serving drinks. We had asked for coffee from a slot attendant after being in the casino for several hours in the morning - she flagged down a cocktail waitress who then brought out 2 coffees after of course finishing her conversation! They were black coffees - her response was "you didn't ask for milk or sugar" and didn't offer to get milk - and this was after we tipped her.
    • Drinks - when we did manage to get that one drink on the casino floor - it was undrinkable!! So we stick to bar service
    • Suns Out Buns Out - food is excellent every time! Love their Poutine
    • Juniors - stay away!! Just read the reviews. Our experience was poor in the dining room. But we took some cheese cake to go and it was very good.
    • Carversteak - very good - pricey. Don't send us an email telling us about the dress code just prior to our reservation and then not enforce it. People were dressed in shorts - ball caps - tshirts etc. Either way doesn't bother me - just make a decision - do we have dress code or not!
    • Pizza place - hated it - it might have been what we ordered - but it had no flavour and seems like frozen pizza
    • Alle66 - nice few - small bites delicious at happy hour - we ordered no drinks
    • Food Court - hours seems all over the place - couldn't find a working machine to order and so we left - for the Poutine again!!
    • Pool - really enjoyed the pool on our summer trip
    • Walgreens across the street - perfect to pick up a case of water
    • Tacos el gordo is across the street - if its not busy - get there early when they open to beat the rush!!
    • Music in the casino - they do a really good job changing it up - seems older music in the morning - think 70's and 80's vibe to more upbeat later in the day - makes sense
    Hope this info helps.

If you would, please elaborate on this, I’m neurospicy & this is interesting to me because I hate crowds, especially at casinos, where I have difficulty concentrating when it’s extremely crowded.
If it gets quiet at RW, I’m interested in a visit based on that particular observation.

Thanks for the info...greatly appreciated. I have some leftover Hilton Honors points which is why the stay at RW this time. I am usually Wynn first, and Palazzo second, as we have a lot of IHG points thanks to my wife's work travel.

I heard the pools or perhaps a couple may be open at RW in March if the weather cooperates, as they can heat them?

RW (Crockfords) used to be my goto for a while. That ended for me after my ninth visit last summer. As everyone says, the actual hard product is great. However, the staff and operations just get worse and worse. The inmates are clearly running the asylum.

Pros that havent been mentioned: The Crockfords 1Br suites are fantastic, and spacious. The 20ft ceilings are a nice touch. The pool deserves to be in the conversation with Wynn and Bellagio. It’s small, but service and availability is excellent. I haven’t spent any time in the general pool though.

To clarify the earlier statement about crowds.. Sun-Thu is a ghost town, UNLESS they are hosting a convention. Even then, the places that you will experience crowds ar limited to: 1. lines for Suns Out and Kitchin, and 2. Gatsby’s lounge. Of, course there’s a queue for the club during the weekend, but that doesnt affect you unless you’re going to Redtail or Fuhu. There also seems to be a reason for people to gather along the side of the casino of the lobbys, If you use the famous foods side to oass through, they can be avoided. Also, you’ll rarely have company in the Crockfords elevators, which is a bonus,

I am a big fan of the cavernous “mall” layout that people seem to dislike. It makes it always easy to get around regardless or crowd, and I’ve never experienced the bottlenecks that occur in pretty much every other casino.

Wynn will always be my 1st option, however RW is fine as one who gets comps for play.
Would I pay to stay there? Probably not.
Would I pay to stay anywhere in Las Vegas? Probably not.

As others have elaborated it does depend on conventions and/or things like concerts/etc.. in the on site theatre.

For me, I also embrace the fact it's not too busy. In fact several solo stays I book here because there's enough to do and I appreciate enough the vast size of the place that it's easy to "get lost" and not be bothered by crowds. Even most of the restaurants have giant bars where you can comfortably go for solo dining and not be bothered (or strike a conversation if you are in the mood!).
Some of my best solo trip memories were spent here without leaving the property (ideal day: early morning Starbucks run with a few hundred on the slots, Gym visit, spa and/or pool, lunch at Wally's, random gambling, visiting the bartenders I've gotten to know at the center bar and Crockfords while playing VP and drinking basically anything I want, and then rocking up to one of the restaurants for a solo dinner, gambling, and then bed).
I've rarely had someone playing next to me while at machines (with the exception of the bars which do fill up). So this may actually be worth a visit based on your description!

Just received a weird Jan/Feb offer in a good way.

we had a two night stay in December and only stayed one night as overlapped with a night at CP. Our offer was 3 nights Conrad, $300 fp and $100 rc.

i checked and see we had 10k coin in, vp for me and slots for M. Loss was $1k

New offer is 3 nights Conrad, $1000 fp and $200 rc no resort fees! Out of curiosity, I called to confirm that it wasn’t half for one month and half for another. It’s all one stay. I’m not complaining but, weird. Second stay at RW and third visit to casino. First visit low play to get on radar, first stay similar play to second visit.

    competition heating up now?

We can’t take advantage. Hoping something similar around in fall. But no expectations. RW doesn’t seem to give offers to far in advance.

That's a puzzling offer based on your play, for sure. RW desperation. I have a 3 day comped offer in a few weeks and I'm not sure how much play I'll give them. Maybe I should low play them and see if my offers jump? I've got good offers coming from Wynn and V/P and decent offers from MGM and my wife isn't a fan of RW so if they drop me, oh well.

The casino marketing doesn't mail out far in advance, however you may get a host assigned based on recent play. They can match that offer to a future stay.

Good idea, I did call a number and spoke to some marketing specialist. Seemed more above regular person but not a host. Doesn’t hurt to ask about November

Went onto app. They have my tier status listed as prime but, my points balance is way below prime. Something going on here otherwise I’m also getting airfare reimbursement and $250 meal credit for tier!

Stayed recently on an offer. It gave us 2 free nights no resort fee, some free play and resort credit. The room was good. Clean but nothing special. We really enjoy having a fridge. Bartenders were great while playing video poker at the center bar. Really good cocktails and very attentive. Drink service was not great while playing slots. It was difficult to use resort credit at Famous Foods.
