    Alright...final day recap...

After hitting the sack at 5am we weren't in the condition to wake up early. We got a Noon check-out and left the room by 12:15pm.

Check out went smooth, we were a little over the $250 resort credit we had available, but I had points to cover that.

Grabbed the car from Valet and took off with nowhere in particularly to go. Our flight was at 4pm, so we had a couple hours to kill before having to return the car and head to the airport. It was over 70 degrees so that meant the top was down :) We decided a last cruise down the Strip with the top down was in order. A cool way to end the trip. I took the back way down to Sahara Ave and got on the Strip at that point. As you may know, I have a love for Circus Circus, so we made a quick pit stop there. The GF grabbed a bite at pick up Stix and I had a quick gamble (lost).

From here we cruised down the Strip taking in the sights and sounds one last time this trip.

Stopped to top up the tank then made our way back to the rental car facility. Our flight was on-time and everything went smooth getting us back to Toronto at about 11pm. We stopped for a quick bite then hit the road for the long-ass drive home from there. Pulled in the driveway at about 3:30am and boy was I happy to see my bed!

Another great trip in the books. I'll post some final thoughts to close out the report shortly.

Just finished your TR and got me excited for my upcoming trip this week! Especially enjoyed your Ultra casino crawl updates and final numbers. Loved reading your daily recaps and enjoyed all your experiences in Vegas. Agree with you that old Vegas is more enjoyable than the new fancy casinos opening up recently. Thanks for the great TR!

    Alright, final thoughts...

I'm tired. Coming back from Vegas is not only depressing, but it takes me days to get back to normal. I mean, it's worth it, for sure. But I'm tired.

I screwed up on a couple things... I had $125 of free bets at the Golden Nugget which went unused. I had until the 30th to redeem them, and I didn't think of it until the 31st. I also had $75 of freeplay that I didn't use at the Nugget. So I left $200 on the table. I pissed myself off with that haha

I love having a rental car. This time was the worst I've ever dealt with in regards to getting it. But I do love the convenience and freedom having a car gives us. I will always look for a rental at a decent price in the future. I miss the days when they were $100 all in for a week. I also loved driving up the Strip with the top down.

When I was at Spinettis I was asking about the Golden Knights Silver Strikes they had for a brief time at Red Rock. The guy hadn't known they existed, but did mention that they were working on a partnership of some sort with the Knights. He said a one year license was $117,000. Thought that was interesting info.

The Golden Nugget screwed me for $35 Valet parking charges. When I got back from picking up the GF on NYE there was zero spots in the parking garage. So I went to Valet, figuring they would take care of their guests. When we grabbed our wrist bands for the NYE party on Fremont, I asked about getting the parking fee comped. The person went to the back to check and came out saying that they would comp it. When I checked out, the fee was on my folio. I mentioned that it was supposed to be comped and told them what had happened. She said I would have to go out to Valet to confirm with them to have it comped. But she said I wouldn't have to go back to see her as she already removed it. So I went out but the person I was told to speak to wasn't working. So I explained again to them what had happened and they took my info to leave a note. Well, there is a $35 parking charge on my CC. Oh well. Lesson learned.

Being downtown on Fremont for NYE was fun and I would recommend it. It was pretty packed, but not like the Strip. We were able to enjoy the countdown on the canopy, and make our way down to watch Third Eye Blind without issue. We even grabbed a drink at the bar at 4 Queens and it didn't take too long. A great NYE in Vegas again this year!

Another highlight for me this trip was getting that Circa Sports patch for my jersey. Most won't understand, but I just had to mention it again haha

Luke Bryan was an absolutely great show! We loved it. I'm not a big fan of Resorts World, its just not Vegasy enough to me. I especially don't like their parking garage which is quite the trek from the entrance.

Fontainebleau Was nice, I think I prefer that over Resorts World, but at the same time I'm not a big fan of the place. The word that comes to mind is pretentious. I think they will struggle to attract their preferred clientele and will start to struggle financially within the year.

Durango was nice. Like I had mentioned, the floor to ceiling windows in the casino is probably what sets this place apart from any other place. It's a nice place to be during the daylight hours. I would go back for a gamble and some food in the future. I mis-wrote my message in my TR, what I meant to say was that I "wouldn't" pay a rideshare or cab to get out there. But if you have a rental or a ride, it's definitely worth checking out.

The Golden Knights game was awesome as usual, but even more awesome because of the seats we had. Apparently they were William Karlsson's in-laws seats. That's what the guy sitting beside us mentioned. Thought that was cool. Anyhow, I would recommend going to a game for anyone who hasn't been.

I had plans to get a couple new souvenir cups this trip and whiffed on that as well. I wanted to get the big beer boot at Whiskey Licker Up, and also the Hooker leg one, which they have at a few places in town. Next time.

I didn't get to post too many Wii-Wii pics this time, I took a few shots but just didn't have the chance to post them. I'll post a few below that you can take a guess at if you'd like :)

All in all it was a great trip! Not sure when I'll be returning, at the very latest next summer, which seems like too far away.

Hope you all have great winning trips in your future!

Another great report! Thanks for taking us along! And if your gf was willing to share, how much did Karlsson's in-laws sell those seats for? Lol

She didn't even tell me lol But based on what she researched, she thought she got a great deal for the location.

I've never parked there, but plan on it in early February for a little VP (just gambling, not staying). Is this an accurate depiction of where their self parking is?

Yup. From there you walk to where the pointer is with the umbrella. The thing I don't like is that you have to walk a decent amount and it's outside. So it's super hot in the summer and cold in the winter. They should have connected the parking to the resort like every other place on the Strip, not sure why they didn't. If you are a guest staying there you get to park in a separate garage that I do believe is attached to the building.

That Karlsson guy must really love his in-laws. My in-laws wouldn't be sitting so close to the action. :nono: BN-SU477_GAY2_M_20170404091802.jpg :hmmm:

That sounds great. March 26th thru April 2nd for me, for the Caesars 5X multiplier, which runs from March 25th thru the 31st. The weather should be great at that time, and I would love to have gone to another Knights game, but all 3 games that week are road games.
