Booked annual trip to Vegas, but picked Wild Card Weekend instead of Super Bowl Weekend. Hotels are expensive, gonna be overly crowded, and just don’t want to have all the hassles that’s gonna go with Super Bowl in Vegas. Anybody else skipping Super Bowl next year and going on an alternate football weekend?

Our annual group Super Bowl weekend trip was shifted to AFC/NFC championship weekend for the same reasons.

Super Bowl in LV made my usual Lunar NY+ SB combo too pricey. Going later in Feb as a result.

I’m going to Super Bowl if I get a comped room. Haven’t thought about what I’ll do if I’m not able to get one. Just won’t go I guess.

Wild Card Weekend is absolutely my favorite football weekend in LV. I usually go Friday to Tuesday. Six important games, all televised in separate time slots nicely spread over 3 days. Just about every bar has the game and sound on. And it falls on a holiday weekend, so one less day of work to take off.

Smart move! Unless I’m in the MGM suite, there is absolutely no way I will be in town for SB. It’s a mad house just for the annual parties I go to. I cannot imagine hosting the SB on top of that madness too.

That’s our reasoning behind picking that weekend. Didn’t realize there were so many games over 3 days!

Yes, there's two Saturday games, three Sunday games and one on Monday night.

This year I was in a bit of panic after the Week 17 Buffalo game was cancelled because of the Damar Hamilin injury. Because the Bills were a playoff contender there was talk about possibly pushing Wild Card Weekend out one week, which would have totally screwed things up schedule wise. Fortunately everything worked out.

We chose Biloxi for this year's Super Bowl trip. I was able to talk the IP (a Boyd property) into a comp, likely based on my play at Diamond Jo Worth (thanks to Mark and Dr. Mike) and a recent bloodbath at Blue Chip.

Coming from the upper Midwest, I s'ppose the weather should be acceptable to us.

Yes, trying for the weekend prior to the SB, hopefully the proposed prop bets will be posted by then...

I too will miss Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas for the first time in over 20 years. Will probably just book a trip for April instead.

I’m just wondering if there will be places to watch the games like they do for the Super Bowl? Obviously not to the same degree, but somewhere besides sportsbooks to watch with a crowd of fans.
