There was a post I had here that showed one of the worst runs I can remember. September 2021. Lost $12k in a few days on tables. Slots and VP were even worse.

Got it all back and more in December later that year. Got 4OAK on Mississippi Stud and Straight Flush on UTH and just one after another after another. And hit $20k on VP in the same night lol

When I was about 27 at the Golden Nugget I was way down on the trip and put my last $6 onto a $5 craps table. Ran it up around $600, that was fun, gave me some play for my final day in town.

About 4 years ago at the MGM Grand for March Madness, was down again to maybe $300 and ran $100 to $1,100 at roulette. Gave me much more cash for the remainder of the day and sports bets.

I am not sure what you mean by best run so I'll give two answers based on my interpretation. My best run for a single trip ever where my stay on Vegas for 4 nights I won about $35k mostly playing baccarat. Best winning trip ever as I was never in the red the entire trip. My worst trip run was losing $50k over 3 nights about 10 years ago. It was from a combination of blackjack and baccarat. I got my ass kicked at the Bellagio. My last bet was in desperation and it was a $15k bet on Player. I still remember when the cards were being dealt. Natural 9 Banker..... sigh.

If run means a single table session, my best was at Caesar's Palace. My bank roll dwindled from around 12k to near zero. I withdrew $3900 and proceeded to go on this amazing streak at baccarat where it jumped from Banker to Player to Banker 26 times. It was insane. I turned my $3900 to around $27K. This all ended within 3 hours of me leaving Vegas so it was a great ending to a perfect story.

Best? Probably a tie... 1st one for sheer $$ turn-around in limited time...the second for sheer improbability:
    1. Years ago, at the Mirage... played 3-card poker on the morning of my departure, already down a few thousand... played 3-hours & ended up winning for the trip & still made my flight.
    2. Also years ago, playing a 6-deck shoe at the Imperial Palace, betting $5 on every single hand (I was just killing time) - I won or pushed on every single hand for that shoe. Even the dealer commented about how much I could've made if I had been betting more than $5.

Worst? So many, but this is the one that currently haunts me:
This last trip, I sat down at a $5 Mississippi Stud table, Golden Nugget. Mowed through $300 without a single win, or even a non-loss (pair of 6s through 10s). Not a lot of money in terms of the loss, but incredibly improbable!

Many years ago the Riverside Casino in Laughlin had a new Blackjack game on the floor where you could bet on whether the dealer would get Blackjack. This particular day the dealer was getting quite a few Blackjacks so we all started betting it and doing quite well. I don't recall what the payout was for this dealer Blackjack bet though...

I played a version that you could bet if the dealer or player would get a blackjack (two separate side bets) and they paid 15:1. I think it was one of the ones near San Diego

Nothing huge, but I had a good run a couple of nights ago at GN on the UTH table.
I bought in with $400 and cashed out with $1600. About 3 hours of play.

Worst......Started at Cosmo. $50 table bought in for $500 and lost 10 hands in a row.
Next stop Mirage. Bought in for $300 played $50/hand and lost 6 more in a row.
Steaming now, so off to the single deck game at El Cortez. Played $50/hand, lost 2 hands had a push then lost 2 more hands.
Played 21 hands with one push and down 2k!
Raised the white flag and headed back to the strip.
Back to Cosmo and broke the streak by winning 1st two hands. Lost the next one then stopped playing for the night!

Happened about 8 years ago....still stings like it was yesterday!

Not my run, but I was in Tunica, this morning at craps table losing as I had been all trip long. I heard a loud yell from some kind of table game with a progressive someone said it was blackjack max(I’m not sure). And then another loud “no s$&# “ from the man who had just sat down and had just won $293,000 on probably a $5 bet. Needless to say my losing weekend continued :faint:.

My worst run was 1 night about 10 years ago at the Palazzo and Venetian blackjack tables. I was just flat betting $100 in blackjack, and lost $3k in less than an hour. Even switching from Palazzo to Venetian bj tables did not help. Don't remember the specifics, but just remember won very few hands, and lost probably 80-90% of hands.

Best, by far: Several years ago, around 7:30 pm, I was playing at one of The Linq craps tables near the registration desk. The table was a bit choppy and I was thinking about leaving to go eat, when the 8:00 pm shift came on and opened the table next to the one I was playing on. I waited a bit to see if people would buy in there (I don't like playing at empty tables), and when the table was about half full, I told the floor person I was moving over there.

After a few shooters, I got the dice and had a good enough roll that some people congratulated me afterward. After I shot, almost every shooter had an acceptable or hot roll until 4:00 am. I came over with a little over $300 in chips and walked away with $3,800. The gentleman next to me bought in for $300, cashed out for $8,000, this after pocketing black ships all nght. He started with $10 pass line and double odds, by midnight, he had $100 on the pass line and was playing $300 odds on the 4 and 10 and collecting. The All-Tall-Small hit three times during the shift. Almost everyone who played at the table stayed until 4:00 am, because, after all, how often to you come across a craps table cash machine. Truly the most amazing night I've ever had in a casino, and a craps player's dream.

The next night, I was at the tables around 8:00 pm, and a manager I knew who was off the night before asked me how I was doing. I said, "Fine, that table [pointing at it] was paying all night last night." She said, "I know, everyone was talking about it. Thank goodness I was off."

Worst: Every night since that night. I've never come close to matching it. The best has been a hot table for an hour or two, but now I know what could be.

One of the coolest runs I ever saw involved very low stakes. One afternoon, about five years ago, I walked up to a craps table at Binion’s at about 4:00 pm. Shortly after I bought in two gals, I’m guessing about mid 30s, each buy in for $50. One of them tells the guy standing next to them that her father told her she should play the don’t pass but didn’t know what that meant. The guy was really nice and gave her a basic primer on craps and how to play the dark side and eventually explained to them how to lay odds.

Long story short, at about 1:00 am I decided to play another session at Binion’s before heading back to my room at the GN after a fun night on Fremont St. I saw the same gals at the same table in the same spot - each of them had a couple of hundred in the racks on the table. I said something like “Oh, you decided to come back?” They told me they had been there the entire time and were still playing on their original buy in. Not a huge run, but seeing two newbies hanging tough for over eight hours, quadrupling their money and having a killer time was pretty cool.

That reminds me of my first time playing craps.
It wasn't an epic run, but I was so hooked I was there for 8 hours!
Definitely a fond memory at the Stardust

My worst, full tilt BJ sessions with car crashes and lots of pyrotechnics loss was last month...@Mr. Scripps had the pleasure of witnessing the entire ugly scene....just paid all my markers this morning. Brutal.

My best run was my absolute very first time at a casino! I was a college student who went to Turning Stone with a group of friends and turned $50 into $1200 (blackjack). As a multiplier, I still have not achieved more than 24x of my bankroll.

My worst run was at the Luxor. We had walked up to see Carrot Top and we had a little time to kill prior to the show, so we bought in for $200 at a $10 BJ table. There were 5 players in all, including me. I literally lost 16 hands in a row, including 3 doubles. It got so bad, the dealer would just laugh and make fun of me (it was ok- I was ripping my own self as well). I tipped the last $10 because I was so impressed lol

Years ago, I was having a rough start to my bachelor party trip. About 36 hours in to a three-day trip, I had to ditch my friends since I didn't have the bankroll to play craps with them. I walked north from Imperial Palace up to Casino Royale, where I was playing Blackjack Switch. I had my last $20 wagered, and was mentally working through backup bankroll options for the final day. They say all you need is a chip and a chair, but when I was holding 17 on my one remaining hand against a dealer's 10 showing, I gave up the chair and was on the verge of walking away when the dealer somehow busted. I don't remember the exact details from there, but I clawed back and amassed $400-500, nearly my entire trip bankroll, before walking away. Disaster averted, trip saved!

Funny post-script to the story is that, on my walk back to Imperial Palace at midnight or so, I got a call from my buddy. This was notable since earlier that morning, he did a swan dive (fully clothed, phone, wallet, everything) into the pool at Planet Hollywood. Apparently one of our other friends took his phone apart and left it to dry out on the dresser while he was passed out. Two unlikely comebacks!
