Amherst native here, go Bills! My family still has a small business in Western NY and I'm headed back for a home game or two once the schedule comes out, as well as a few road games.

Torontonian here… but with many family trips to WNY towns such as Amherst, Kenmore, etc.

At one point, probably about a quarter of my clothing was from the Macy’s in Boulevard Mall in Amherst. That was one of our regular stops along with eateries such as Tully’s (who needs to open a satellite location in Vegas if you ask me!) and DiBella’s (best subs I’ve had anywhere, hands down). Lots of visits to the Albright-Knox art gallery too.

I’ll miss you in Vegas by just one day, as I’m arriving on the 17th. May your trip be plenty of fun with ample wins!

 

Did you layer up to avoid GST? My family's store was called Jenss, also in the Boulevard Mall.

 

There was some… “creativity” involved at times, I’ll say that much though in adulthood I do things a bit differently, especially as a NEXUS holder who values that status very much

I’ve never heard of that store, though upon a Google search it looks like that was in operation before my time. If we ever meet up in Vegas or elsewhere I’d love to “talk shop” historically, as it’s very possible that our families might have interacted at one point, with one set of my relatives having been in a similar business in southern Ontario.

 

May I ask the name of that business?

I'm sorry I will miss you. Have lots of family in your area. Now that JC Penneys has closed the Blvd Mall is empty and not the same. You are better off at Outlet mall in Niagara Falls. Try Judi's for wings and Viola's for subs.
