It's now been a couple of months since the Hardrock takeover, anyone got any feedback/opinions of the new entity? For example, better/worse VP payouts, table game rule changes, slot machine paybacks/selection, how does there Unity program compare to other casinos in Vegas, room or free play offers, new promotions, or anything else that may be relevant.........
We are heading to Vegas in April, and was wondering if it would be worth it to give them a good days play to see what sort of teaser offers may result from that play.

Stayed there in February and all was good. Tried to book a suite in July midweek. Suite didn’t show up on the internet so I had to call. Quoted me 1100 dollars a night for a 2 bedroom suite. I can get a 2 bedroom suite at 4 other resorts for under 400 a night. I gave them a fair amount of play but was only there 2 days. I probably won’t be back.

I got back a few weeks ago from a 6 night stay at Mirage off an Unity offer they sent that was for more freeplay than I probably deserved along with 3 free nights at the end of the trip for the weekend nights and $69 per night for the 3 week nights.

I don't think slot payouts have really changed and table games seemed in line with what I saw back in September there. They were changing out table felts and the carpet under the tables near the theater for a majority of the trip, so they had a bunch of tables out of action until Friday due to this. One thing I don't like about how they do points and tier credits is that I had no idea how many I had as I played. I had to login to their site after I got home to see where I stood with them. I'm not seeing any room offers now, and I doubt the amount of play I gave them will get me another good offer like this one though.

As I summed up in my trip report, Hard Rock is having some growing pains with all the conversions they are performing. There are issues with the player's club due to lack of help and training along with making sure that freeplay and resort credits are setup correctly on your account or room. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my stay, but I'd rather not spend time in line multiples times in trip to get things fixed on my account or having to email someone after I get home to get resort credits applied to my room that should have been applied at check in.

Are they still using the 'old' Mirage chips or have they changed out to Hard Rock Chips?

Was there in Feb. Seemed to be about the same as last stay with MGM/Mirage.

I had some Resort Credit which supposedly included mini-bar. There was no price menu in the room and nobody in VIP checkin had a clue of prices.

I had maintenance come to my room to fix the TV on the last trip. As he was checking the TV after the repair, he surprised himself by finding the minibar prices and remarked how many guests complained about not knowing those prices and how he wasn't aware of what all changed with the new system that controls the TV content.

And, just because I forgot to include this pic in my trip report....

The one thing I don’t seem to be able to find: how do your earn tier credits for gaming (slots/VP)?

    For spend, it’s clear.
    But gaming…?

Is the place in the front that had breakfast and sandwiches still open? Used to be a deli before that?

If you mean Carnegie Deli, MGM changed the name to Snacks and changed up the menu some. It's still good to grab a quick bite, especially if you want to grab it to take back to the room.

I checked out of Mirage today. Hard Rock had given me a generous offer. I had 400 in food and beverage. I saw on my tv that I had 346 in charges. I wouldn’t check out on the tv. I went down to the Unity desk and made sure they took the charges off, then I checked out at the front desk and got a copy of the 0 balance bill.
