You write really (really) well (comparatively) but I think germs are going to be what separates you from The New Yorker.

I could be wrong, they might eat it up. What do I know, I only worked there.

    Sincerely,
    Wallace Shawn :D

I have no idea what’s happening here, sir. It seems like a series of back-handed compliments (or maybe just front-handed insults). A Wikipedia trip informs me that Wallace Shawn isn’t just the guy from The Princess Bride. And has a connection to the New Yorker. But are you really Wallace Shawn?

And more importantly, can you help me get my slightly above-average urban Fantasy novels “trad” published? If not, can you at least tell me how to find the slot machines for people who work desk jobs?

    Thanking you in advance,

Someone who once saw Madeleine Albright when I worked at the Palm Beach Post

I'm not Wallace Shawn, he knew how to slap writers. "Snap out of it", he'd say whilst grabbing them by the collar and backhanding and forehanding them (or so they said). "Nobody gives a shit about your bad experience at the Automat," he'd say.

But full paragraphs are impressive in the Twitterverse. I would keep doing it until you can't stand it any more.

You must continue. It all comes from a place of love.

What I'm saying is, don't be deterred and take the easy way out.

Love it all, keep it up. We expect a full dissertation on the delicacy that is the Trader Joe’s fettuccine.

Thess, I apologize, I was trying to do something humorous but it never worked from the beginning and went off the rails. And it shouldn't have been in your TR anyway.

Hey @thess loved your report and as far as writing, as you know, and as Red Smith said, “ Writing is easy. You just open a vein and bleed."
Look forward to seeing and reading your published works in future. Best!

Following...also enjoying your writing. I've been a Wynn fan but may split time at Vdara next trip. Looks like they have tubs. I find myself needing more and more quiet time to decompress.

@thess, I am really enjoying your trip report, thanks for sharing.

However, I now feel like I’m in my dentist’s waiting room, deep into this magazine article and hoping the patient before me has some un-diagnosed condition and is in the chair longer than expected. As I turn the page, I realize that a Tony Soprano type just ripped out the steak recipe and I’ll never reach the conclusion.

Kudos on picking Vdara, we stayed there about 5 years ago; it was so quiet, I heard a mouse fart. I only valet park when there is no other choice, but the Valet at Vdara was quick and painless each time. We liked the pool, except for the wind, it was intimate.

I hope the rest of your stay turned out well for you.
