I used to love this place but my past few times there, I couldn't get out fast enough. I had a fear of a roach popping out. I spent most of my life in shitty underground music venues and dive bars. I have traveled in third world countries, etc. Not sure why this place of all places in my breaking point.

    Any pictures?
Are they bringing back the Craps table?
Are they replacing the really really really old VP machines with all wording rubbed off the buttons for some really old VP machines with some lettering visible??

My first time in Vegas was 2005 so I missed it's glory days. Once the North Strip started losing it's gems like the Stardust and Riviera the foot traffic came to a halt and it had no chance.
I would imagine back in the day Slots A Fun was something similar to the old O'Sheas when it was out front of the Imperial Palace... dirty, busy, and fun.

Heading to Vegas in August, plan to hit CC and Slots of Fun for the first time. Can give some updates then.

Ruffin said the first thing he was going to do after buying CC/SAF was turn SAF back into a fun, low-roller casino just like it's glory days.

    Then the pandemic hit.

I still hope he does it. That was a fun dive!

He could still have done remodeling during the pandemic other places kept going.

Seems like the case could be made more than ever once Resorts World opens along with the expanded convention center getting up to speed with new conventions.

I know on my first trip we stayed at the Mirage but we regularly walked across the street to Casino Royale to enjoy the $3 limits on craps because $10 to $15 was just to rich for my blood at the time. I could see an analogous situation with Resorts World and Slots-O-Fun.

Except that Casino Royale completely eliminated all craps tables.
