Everybody canceled on me but screw it I’m going anyway.
Nov 19-23 at Flamingo. I can entertain myself for that short of a time hopefully.

 

Vegas's lure wins.

I couldn't find affordable flights coinciding with my 2-night Cosmo stay. But Wait! My Cosmo account page reveals an Identity Silver member free night expiring in Jan 2021. And, if I stay that extra night, I can get a much more affordable flight. So 24 days after leaving LV, I'm going back. November 7-10. With my December trip 32 days after that.

Feels like a score: a mix of excited satisfaction at solving the challenge but with a slight apprehensive tinge of "too much of a good thing?"

I may approach this trip differently.
Cosmo Terrace suites/studios have become my Strip favorite rooms. I love the property, location, the restaurant options. But I've taken horrible casino beatings there last several visits. And, candidly, feel a little old and out of place with the clientele. Definitely hope I dont encounter the Saturday night security entry lines Ive seen on Twitter recently. I may be hoofing it up to Venetian and Wynn this trip for a change of pace.

 

Come in solo for 7 days from Apr cancelled trip..

Airplane tickets booked coming Nov 18 to 25..room booked 21 to 25 Mirage..

still debating the first 3 days at the D or Venetian ...?.

 

Unfortunately, just cancelled my trip this upcoming Friday.

Incredibly frustrating, but we have holidays coming up and my mother in law is battling aggressive cancer, and my wife is assisting in caretaking so I can't run the risk of getting it and passing it along to her.

Then again, I feel like an ass sulking when people's lives are ruined.

Hope for those of you that can go that you have a fun, safe trip.

I'm hopeful for early next year. Frankly, however, from what I saw a few weeks back in AC and am hearing in Vegas, AC seems to be a much safer alternative so, presuming Jersey doesn't shut down again, hopefully I can see some (new) friends up there in a few months.

Also, I think its ok for people to sulk when the pandemic interferes with their vacation plans. We all know having a ruined vacation doesn't compare to the pain and sorrow many families are experiencing because of the pandemic. But everyone here is a fan of Vegas and its ok to feel disappointment at missing a trip

 

Thanks @UKFanatic, appreciate the kind words. I saw my in-laws tonight for Halloween and it made me feel better about my decision.

I’m sure I’ll start checking flights in a few weeks again for a, hopefully, early 2021 trip. It’s nice to have something to look forward to even if it doesn’t materialize I suppose.

I'm in town now at the Four Queens. Staying until at least Tuesday, possibly longer. I'm taking some time off of work. I'm probably road tripping for a bit in Arizona, then driving back to Vegas for late November/Early December. Playing bartop VP and craps mostly downtown. Traveling solo.
