LOL... this tells you all you need to know about whether to stay at NYNY or not. :poke: You can always go gamble there.

    Have fun at Bellagio!

Nice! And a fountain view! Bellagio is a great choice plus great strip location. I see an awesome trip ahead :woohoo:.

They also offer free refills on coffee, just keep your cup.

I've also stayed at all 3 hotels in the last 2 months. Would definitely take mirage over NYNY. And the bellagio room is clearly the best, and the nicest casino. But my next stay will be back at mirage. I prefer the location and access to other hotels. Also found the bellagio just too crowded. Constantly maneuvering around crowds to get anywhere and do anything. Really says more about me than the hotel though. Bellagio clearly has the nicer amenities.

The Bellagio pools are my favorite! And I enjoy the peace & quiet. The long walk from my room to the front door, though.....

Thanks for all the tips and comments! Looking forward to my trip. The nicest hotel we've stayed at in the past has been Aria, so Wynn and Bellagio will be a real treat.... Even though we will probably do most of our gambling at Mirage and NYNY. I play craps and prefer the lower limit tables so I can max out odds and spread it out around the table.

Boy did you nail it Ezzy. This is so true. Staying in a nicer hotel is such a splurge the first time, but it's definitely Pandora's box...once you open it, things are never quite the same.

For the OP though, I am SO excited for you and your wife on the free room at Bellagio! It's a lovely hotel with great service...and the casino was actually decent to us....it was suprisingly much less tight than I expected (slots). Have fun and ENJOY!

PS if you and your wife want an AFFORDABLE splurge meal-wise....Toddler English's Olives in Bellagio has a stellar Beef Carpaccio appetizer that easily feeds two as a meal, for like $21 bucks! (And my hubby can EAT, and it's still plenty.) Comes with a side of artisian breads that they've always refilled for free for us. It's a really nice ambiance, doesn't require formal attire, stellar food, and a great price!

And it's always romantic when you can share a nice meal (and a plus that you come away full/satisfied.) You also get two types of tapenade...green olive and kalamata.

For us, its one of the best values on the strip, and a must-have every trip!

(Online photos, not mine, and the bread basket DOES come out full, the pictured one has been depleted some...:))

Great minds think alike! That is exactly what we had in November. I had first tried it at Olives at Atlantis in the Bahamas. We also shared a flatbread. Yummy and highly recommended.

Definitely NYNY for me. Better atmosphere, better basic rooms, beter beds. Rooms in Mirage are big, because of a small bathroom. I prefer some space for shitting and toothbrushing, more than roomspace to do some aquarobics in my room near my bed ;-)

    Pro's Mirage:
-Vulcano (Stripview: u can see it out of your room)
    -Striplocation (near Caesars, Bellagio, Venetian)
-Cravings buffet (nice price, lot of food)
    -Nice parfume in Casino
-Mirage is the bigger name, nice to have stayed there
-The pool (at NYNY you can't even call it a pool...)

    Pro's NYNY:
    -Nice basic Room. (Park Avenue)
    -Near McCarran, short taxi-trip
    -Big rooms, nice beds
    -Rollercoaster (with discount)
-Nice Casino (I like it more than Mirage)

Also prices are most of the times better for NYNY than for Mirage. Good luck!

I haven't stayed at the Mirage but did at NYNY in 2014. Wasn't a great experience and I was extremely disappointed and haven't stayed since. With the Mirage you do have lots of options casino wise nearby compared to NYNY.

Yeah you might get a shock... while I haven't stay in a standard room at the Aria or Bellagio for about 6 years the Aria was by far superior. Wynn and encore are slightly above Aria although the feel overall is the most luxurious at WynnE, however for me the Skysuites at Aria are the best especially the penthouse..all I'm saying is Bellagio rooms are overrated you'll properly prefer Aria rooms.... enjoy:)
