Meet-n-greet Downtown 13th November

The BH is a fun place so hang in there. Things happen in vegas so give it some time but yes it is disappointing to plan as you did and be reading this and not visiting with members.

 

So sorry it didn't work out, Lady Fortuna. Sometimes these things happen when the excitement of Vegas gets the better of us. I've read of some meet and greets falling apart due to unplanned circumstances, many of them caused by not leaving a hot table, machine, or simply because their hangover from the night before got the better of them, lol!!

Continue with your trip, be happy, and go win the big jackpot!! And by the way, if I was there I would have loved to have drunk those 30 Coronas with you guys!!

With lime, of course...!

Back at Harrah's. Did have a good time, but I'm staying at Four Queens next week, so this day was a total waste of money. The estimated $40 Uber ride turned out to be $60!! Because of the marathon.

I still think it's rude that people don't show up without a word, but a lesson learned. Some people just don't care. I sure won't change my ways though.

One good thing that came out of this, is the warm words of all of you that do care! Can't tell you how much that helped me to lift my spirit. Thank you! I love you, VMB people!!

Sorry didn't mean to be cryptic. BH was for Boar's Head as that was where I thought you were for the meet. Binion's Hotel(?) didn't think of that as the rooms are shuttered. Yes we are there on the 19th-24 so come backkkkkkkk and we will display much knowledge and skills on Jacks or maybe better.
Looks like you recovered well. (By the way a couple of Decembers ago a meet was planned downtown and it appeared to be one to not miss. Met Joe and Ty + wife at 777. Only the cream of the crop that night. It does happen so don't give up).

I know! We had an epic get-together at Boar's Head Bar in April 2014 (https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/index.php?threads/easter-boars-head-g2g-official-thread.104856/). I wouldn't say cream of the crop (only kidding, but let's not flatter them too much hahaha), but just to name-drop a few: Bungadin, Jimboguy, Progrocker2112, TIMSPEED + Wife. Good times!

And I have a good feeling about the upcoming one on the 25th as well!

See you anytime within reason at BH Bar. We have one 1/2 day set aside to go to SAMs town and check out vp tables but that is like a 3 hour tour. A three hour tour. The weather should be fine.
You will see us. I wear grey well also. Not dark grey anymore though. Pigment is a fleeting thing.

Dang just saw that no one showed up, sorry that happened i knew that sp couldnt come as his business cancelled the trip. Smearrian i met at my last meeting dowtown( together with Ross) strange he wasnt there. I saw on fb on livefeed ( fb friend was volunteering at that)there was also a marathon going on. Keep your head up as you will have fun and do vegas right . Are you going on the pubcrawl this thursday?( always fun ! Even when no vmb peeps show it will go through) due to circumstances no vegas for me but i really hope maybe i can make it for the meeting in third week of april next year

 

Soooo sorry this happened. If I were there I would have definitely been there on time to meet up with you. I hate promising something to someone without showing up (without letting them know if some emergency happened)

Hey buddy!! How are you doing?

I have already recovered from the disappointment yesterday and planning to hit the Strip hard tonight. Getting ready right as we speak.

I'm not sure yet about the pub crawl. Seems like no one is in town that day (or at least no one interested to join) and I don't know if I'm ready to stick my neck out again. I think you guys don't realise, that it's a bit harder for a girl than a guy to be solo in Vegas. Guys bond easily over sports, gambling, cars, women and what not more, but there are not many solo women around, who are interested to hang out with other solo women. Sure, as a girl you get a lot of attention from men, but you always have to be aware to not give the wrong impression and as soon as they realise you're not in for "an adventure", they lose interest and don't want to invest more time in you. That can be quite insulting and disappointing. I just want to hang out, socialise and have fun.

Ugh, I hope that didn't sound too bitter?! I know there are many great guys around there and you are certainly one of them! Will never forget the best Vegas trip I ever had in 2013, mainly thanks to you. I hope life is treating you well and wish you all the best!

Lady Fortuna: I was at the 777s bar on Sunday, Nov 13 from 4:10-4:35 (wasn't sure if the meet was 4:00 or 4:30) and was cruising around the room looking for the VMB crowd. All I heard was the loud Dallas boys watching the Cowboys beat my Pittsburgh Steelers. Still, it was a good game going back and forth right up 'til the end. Sorry I didn't see you. I was there...and looking. I especially wanted to show everyone the DEALT ROYAL I had gotten that morning at the 4Qs for $4K. Made my trip!
