How many TR cards can be played at once time?

I'm having trouble finding the answer for this question. According to total rewards. No one but you can use your card. We often played either my wife's card or mine simultaneously to rack up comps. I have never tried to play more than 2 at a time.

I'm a hypothetical situation...what if I had 4 cards with my name on them and and let the rest of the family use the other 3. Excluding hand pays (that's where I'm pretty sure someone else playing my card might catch some heat, I might loose my privileges ect...idk whatever) would this be possible and has anyone ever done it?

Good question...we play two at a time and it doesn't seem to be a problem just as you do.

 

I've had 5 going at once before in the HL @ Flamingo. I was playing the WoF and MonteCarlo machines in a row. That was back in 2012 though

 

I've had 4 going at once.

 

I'm trying to get that platinum in a day. The rest of my family is already platinum or higher so they could care less not using there card for a day and using mine.They are the ones who conjured up the idea. Were not expecting them to do anything out of the ordinary, just play slots as normal like they always do for the day that was there suggestion.....well so was the $250 by in group pool on the high limit slots "that will definitelybe in my trip report if it happens"

One more question- if my wife and I combine out tr account do they add the existing tier points together. We would literally be points away from platinum and can easily obtain on our own? Any thought/suggestions?

 

My host just asked me today if the hubby uses mine and she said it doesn't make a difference if he does. When we were there a month ago she actually found me by a device she said she has that lets her know who is playing what machine, he was sitting right next to me with my card in his machine and she didn't say a thing about it.

 

My wife hit a jackpot last week while using my tr card at bally's. We both play on my card to help get better offers. She was lectured and "advised" that she should get her own card, but no privileges were lost or punishments inflicted.

 

Worst they could do is cancel the total rewards account I mean they cannot deny your pay.

Doubt it will happen, this isn't a secret.


Though sometimes with two cards in free play cannot be accessed. I actually in Mississippi wife was on my card and it locked up the account automatically but all I had to do was unlock it

 

The fine print almost always advises against it, but what they caution and what they enforce will depend on the day, what they see, who sees it, etc.

I doubt it would hurt on payout, but it can potentially hurt if you get your hand slapped on tier credits, specific point-based comps, etc.

Example, I was at a newer 5 star hotel's player desk, and I heard a woman pushing for the free buffets that came when you hit 1000 points. The woman at the desk artfully explained that, unfortunately, they could see the card was being played simultaneously, multiple times. She (The player desk rep) nicely sad if it was just once or twice, it wouldn't have been an issue, but that it was "odd" how often it had happened, and unfortunately, due to that, they couldn't give the free buffet. She was very polite and not condescending, but definitely laid down the law.

I see many who share, and do fine, but there are also those who share and get a minor hand-slapping. (The above incident was NOT TR, they might be more lenient...)

 

I'm actually surprised to hear this, if it was let's say, 2 cards being played at once, because that is so common, and nobody ever makes a stink about it. And if it was only two cards, then who cares how many times it occurred?

More than two, I can see. But even so, they're still getting the action required to cover however many buffets the offer includes.

 

I have two cards and play two machines myself very often so there is no way they can enforce this!

 

They would never bother, they can see that the two cards were on machines next to (or close) to each other. But if there were 5 cards being used all over the casino at the same time it might attract some attention.

I think more than two is probably pushing it, unless it's the case where it's really a single person playing multiple machines in a bank. Does anybody ever try to play 3 at a time? I can see where it's possible, but...

 

in new orleans they could care less if you hit a jackpot and the card in the machine is yours or not, they dont check...they dont care if use your card or play on someone elses that you know also....and yes host do have a phone that tells them where you are at tables or slots and they will find you to say hi, might be a lil ackward but they dont care

last year my girl was going on vacation and no CET casinos around, she was around 800 points shy of diamand again and wouldnt be back till after he 1st of the year, I took her card to the tables while she was in texas, told them I need to get x amount of points for her...they joked with me and keep calling me by her name but rated it just right, done the same thing at CP back in march

only time I have ever seen them revoke someones card, it was around seven years ago, this group would be in the palm room diamond lounge at harrahs new orleans 7 days a week, from open till they closed, they used to stay open till 12 weekdays and 2am weekends and everything was unlimited and over-poured lol...this group would eat and get drunk everyday and they didnt tip nor did they play except for free play offers. management looked into it and found that they would walk around and find people without cards in the machine and ask if they mind playing on their card...they hit diamond and enjoy all the benefits without playing so they took their cards and banned them from the lounge area, i never seen them again after that

 

I have won many many hand pays when my wifes card was in the machine. Never an issue. I just hand them MY card and ID.

I often will play two machines next to each other.

 

Good stuff from everyone! Well it doesn't hurt I guess I'll just get 2 more cards when I get there. I usually loose my card within a matter of minutes anyways...ESPECIALLY if I HAVEN'T been drinking yet.

 

I was surprise too. I DON'T think this is the norm, but I figured it was worth noting.

Then again, it creeps me out a little how a host can find you and just pop in when you're playing because the card tells them where you're sitting, but I am the queen of not liking pop ins anywhere!

 

I never had a host pop in on me on the slots. Usually the pit boss starts asking me questions like " are you staying here tonight, and how long are you guys staying" etc even with my puny budget Im a total people person. I've gotten more comps for being a total sweetheart or nice guy then gambling. Sad but true

 

HI NMT! I really don't play enough for hosts, it was a promo they had set up for me, and I really appreciated him checking in...as it was generous with his time. I just like flying under the radar in Vegas.

I had never met him, so it was just an eye-opener for him to come up and greet me by name, just based off what machine I had my card in.

I'm totally with you on getting more for "being nice". I'm always a little sad to see how much the staff remembers niceness. It shouldn't be that unusual.

But, back to a host finding me, I don't think they normally do that, and if it's not due to me being a big spender, it was just a nice gesture for a new player.

 

Like legitimately, I'm a really nice person and my wife is nicer (and way better looking) so we engage as a pair and just talk to people, dealers, pitbosses, cocktail waiteresses...etc.That's just the way we roll and we're not putting up a front or anything. We are always having a great time and a lot of times it rubs people the right way. I never ever ever asked for anything because I'm playing. And I got a few freebies just because it was offered... betting serious 5-10 dollars a hand...I've had resort fees comped, and a few buffets... "looks like your resort fees were taken care of"(at check in desk) wtf I'm only gold on the caesers card????. Not every time, but a few times. smile, be nice, and have a good time. That's what we mostly go to Vegas for right???

 

I don't know I think it's fairly common, my hosts at Planet and MGM both found me and said they wanted to say hi while I was "in action", so you never know
