Now that MLife is taking over the Borgata in AC, I'm really curious if anyone knows how they are going to translate the tiers? Borgata has only two tiers: Red for $0-$999 in comp dollars and Black for $1000+ in comp dollars. I think comp dollars are 0.2% like CET for slots and 0.1% like CET for VP, but maybe someone with more knowledge can correct me.

I read that MLife awards 10 tier credits per $1 slot spend in Vegas, but they have different rates at their different properties. I currently have $75 in comp dollars at Borgata this year so far, so that would be... 75,000 tier credits in Vegas? Is that wrong?

Anybody know how this transition would work?

Borgata also has Platinum, which is higher than Black.

Dunno how the transition will go, but if you are playing slots only. $75 Borgata comp dollars means $75 x 500 = 37,500 slot coin in. And MLife in Vegas is 10 Tier Credits per $3 slot coin-in ( for non-specialty slots). So $37.5k slot coin-in equals $37,500/$3 x 10 = 125,000 Tier Credits. 200k TC is needed for Platinum at MGM.

Once MLife fully takes over though, it's very possible you will get less tier credits gambling in AC vs. Vegas. Mississippi is screwed by a factor of 5, Detroit by a factor of 10!!!

I wonder why MGM is so stingy with the comps outside of Vegas. CET is pretty much the same everywhere with their tier credits/reward credits. If MGM offered tier credits like Vegas at the Borgata, they would dominate the AC market even more than the Borgata already does.

Well keep in mind this doesn't mean mailer comps are cut by 5X/10X it's just status points and express comps. I get the impression that the mailer/host comps are pretty good in Tunica from another member here.

But he and I agree, every MGM property should earn tier points/express comps like Vegas.

It's tough to be stingier with comps than Borgata already is.

I actually get much better comps from Borgata than I do from CET. CET hardly gives me anything for my play. I get a lot more from their credit card and Social Rewards than from my gameplay which is an absolute crime.

I recently heard a Borgata host talking to a long time Borgata player. I doubt they know everything yet as to all the future changes, but what he did say is to expect the comp rate at Borgata to be cut in half and that they would be moving to the M-Life players card system. That would be a shame if they cut comps in half, because that would seem disrespectful to me and when I feel disrespected I don't give companies my business. At that point, I would either stop gambling completely and put the money into the stock market instead or I would start going to Sands in PA instead. (Although I hear that the slot payouts in PA are crappy because they tax slots earnings so much.)

Not a High Roller by any means but a consistent long time loyal Borgata player.if Borgata won't be loyal to me or treat me fairly why should me or anyone continue to play there. If comps are cut in half would move my play to Trop. Or if Northern Jersey gets casinos bye bye A/C
