Hi all...Do downtown casinos (Golden Nugget excluded) rate you if you play $5/hand blackjack? Is it worth using your players card? Also, for craps,I play $5 passline,$10 odds, and place the 6 & 8 for $6 each. So am I rated at $27 or $17 while playing? Thank you so much

As a red chip micro-roller, I've had success downtown. I earned 1,300 points at the Fremont on $3 craps my last trip, and generated some free rooms at the Golden Gate after playing BJ for $5 and tipping generously. We'll see if the offers continue, but it's always worth using your player's card imo; even if you only get $1, it's still a buck!

Oh yeah easy peasy, who know maybe you hit a good few hours and the buy ins last you could easily get decent offers. I found golden gate, el Cortez, and plaza to be loose with offers, in that order.

You are asking if the casino will include your $10 free odds bet, which has no house advantage, in their calculations for your play. Some casinos do and some casinos do not. The surest way to find out is to ask the pit boss/boxman prior to buying in. They will be the one entering the data.

Agree with all the above.....I play at the D and Golden gate occasionally and get room/food/free play offers Never hurts to use your card wherever you are or whatever your bet amount is! I am fairly certain they will rate you playing reds as I have had friends with me that play about the level you do and they get offers.

If you give them your card they will rate you. Not very well IMHO. With your play you would have to put in an hour or two or more to get a comp meal (don't even ask about comp rooms). But you never know, it is up to the pit boss so you may get a comp meal after an hour or two of play.

I play the same amounts as you do and I will ask the pit boss for a comp meal after an hour or when I am leaving the table. Sometimes they give me a comp meal, other times they say "sorry, your play doesn't warrant a comp".

As for your rating, most casinos do not include your free odds bet so most times you are rated at $17 while playing. But as the other poster mentioned, best to ask the pit boss to verify whether they use your odds bets to rate you. I asked the (female) pit boss a few years at MSS to check on my play once. She laughed at me and said that I needed to have at least $25 on the table at any time with at least 2 or 3 hours of play to get a comp meal. :Þ Another time I asked the pit boss (after playing the same amount) at MSS if I could get a comp meal and he wrote out the voucher.

Maybe if you added a come bet to your mix they might rate you a little higher to get a comp meal. Lately I have started my play like you but also included a come bet although after the initial bets and ratings I may or may not play the come.
